As a vaper of about two months I've been reading this forum all over the place. I started with a cheapy 20$ Xhale O2 from seven eleven after about a week I couldn't get the burnt taste out. After deciding I like vaping more than analogues I went to a local store where I found a 510 model vapor king from vaporking.org. I bought it for 80 bucks (I know I spent too much for a mini). It was great for about a month now seemingly my batteries voltage is dropping off. I'm getting less tate, vape, and TH. I'm also tired of going through four charges in a day (180 mAh). I thought maybe it was my atty so I switched it out for the second one that came with my kit same problem. So I deleted my bridge on the one I thought was going dead, better but still not the same. I dont like the idea of buying new batts all the time so I was thinking I would make my own. I found the fistpack v2 guide it looks like something I can do, but I'm not sure if I should make that or just buy a different mod. My budget is pretty small that is why I liked the fistpack mod because it's a seemingly great unit with a battery that is about half the price to replace and I get more than 10x the mAh plus the selectable voltage is nice.

I have been buying my e-liquid locally as well. It's pricey (10$ for 7ml) but there is no wait. Also if I get a flavor I don't like so much I don't have 30mL of it. I love clouds of vape more than a heavy TH so I get 100%vg. So I was wondering, what mod do you use for your daily vaping adventures? Also what is your preference as to pg/vg ratio in said mod? Thanks for your time!

I recommend the two most supported and recommended slim models Joye 510 and KR808D-1. KR8 is a bit fatter but its standard batteries last 3-5 hours vs 2-3 for the 510. But the 510 also has longer mega xl batteries available for 3-5 hour life. All life hours are less if vaped heavily. PCCs available for both. I always recommend manual batteries - it is what most people on the forum use and recommend. I recommend real Joye brand for the 510 and for nice colors Vapor4Life for the KR8.
A comparison
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...st-electronic-cigarette-first-time-vaper.html

I use both of those and my KR8 is from Vapor4Life. I prefer to use cartomizers on the 510 (instead of the atomizer + cart). It comes as a 3-piece but a wide variety of blank cartomizers are available. A wide selection of prefilled cartomizers are available for KR8. Prefilled is just a small convenience because you will be adding juice to cartomizers to get days of use out of one. I have actually gotten almost 2 weeks off one Boge 510 carto. Or you can use the atty + carts with the 510 but you will have to add juice more often and take care of your atomizers.

For people who need or want 6-8+ hour battery life and/or the ability to use power-hungry harder hitting low resistance (LR) parts, skip the slim ecigs and look at Ego, Ego-T, Riva 510

And a note - there are some tiny ecigs around but they satisfy few for more than 3-4 weeks. They usually have auto batteries which are easier to kill with juice leaks and can accidentally turn on from wind or vibration. Generally super-minis are not worth it. The smallest ecig I recommend is a Joye 510.

And I buy everything from good-price vendors, often multi-brand vendors, who also sell blank carts/cartos and some starter juice. Any place that doesn't sell blank carts or cartos and some juice for the e-cigarettes they sell is generally a ripoff that only cares about locking you into them for supplies. Any place that charges more than $20 for a slim ecig battery is a ripoff.

Sorry - not familiar with the hand-packs.

And sorry I wrote so much stuff before fully reading your message! But maybe it will be helpful to someone else.

I have 2 mods that I use daily. A silver bullet at 3.7v with cisco 510s and 306s. A buzz with a map tank from cloudsofvapor at 4.5v. These are great mods and I would recommend them to anyone.

For juice I like anything thats good lol. My current top 3 are-

avejuice- bobas bounty
tastyvapor- geoffs blend
kickbassvapor- maple frosted rolls

FSUSA- wyatt earp is my runner up lol

I have heard good things about this companies mods, they get good reviews and prices are awesome-

If your on a budget I would get your juice from a different place. You can get 50ml of juice from madvapes for $11. They ship super fast and have great customer service.

Welcome to MadVapes LLC

Hope this helps

I ape on a precise 18650 from super T and love it. I use it at 3.7 volts with a 306 low resistance atty. Amazing PV. If you can afford the high cost it is a device you can have forever. I mean, it has a lifetime warranty :)

As for juice I like about 30% VG mix and usually alternate vaping between a dry tobacco flavor like dk tab or 555, and a sweet flavor like Bavarian cream, or cheesecake. Seems to be the best way to keep my taste buds interested.

Happy vaping!

For a lower end mod i would recommend the silver bullet from altsmoke. depending on the batteries used it can be 3.7 or 6 volts. I say "lower end" but it is still 85 dollars for the unit alone. if money is an issue for liquid, nhaler has a 3 30 ml bottle for around 50 dollars deal. I am using plain tobacco from them and it is really pleasant

I vape a PV-1 from Provape 3.7v most of the time. Also use an ego once in a while
for lighter flavored juices (lime, orgnge, jager-bomb) which I like at a lower voltage
and cooler, lighter vapor.

Juice wise, you can cut the price paid by at least 50-75% even without DIY, at many
forum suppliers. And most have sample sizes, also cheaper $ per mL.

I have the blu kit for "on the go" and a Volcano Inferno T kit for at home.
My juice of preference is Johnson Creek's Red Oak line of Juices.
I would eventually like to start DIY mixing my own juices, and grab one of those variable voltage PVs, but for now, I like the ease of the kits.

The blu makes it too easy, they have true Cartomizers that are prefilled to the equivalence of a "pack of cigarettes". You just screw it on and that's it. Not to mention they exclusively use the e-juice from Johnson Creek. For as small as this thing is, I have to say, I was impressed by some of the vapor released!
The Tankomizer couldn't be more simple either, just put your favorite juice in the tank and Bam, clouds of vapor.

I have a few MODs but my goto is the ProVari. The VV is really awesome since you are able to dial in a sweetspot for any juice/attty/carto combo you want. If you want more TH and huge vapor dial up the volts. It also revives weak atty's (those standard resistance 510's) that just seem to lose their punch after a few weeks. I still use Ego batts with a Boge LR 2.0 carto or a Cisco LR 306 atty when carrying around the Vari or Infinity is not possible.

Before you make a decision on which mod to buy/make, it might be an idea to try a 5v USB passthrough. Not only does this give you a chance to see whether 5v floats your boat (which will greatly influence the decision on what ecig to move to next), but will also take some of the strain off your current batteries while the decision is made.

I got one of these 5v passthroughs from madvapes, and according to the order confirmation email it is called a "MVPTBB". (Lucky I remembered the colour was called Bumblebee; was searching for 5v (which isn't in the product name) and don't remember where half of my vape gear has come from (have been going a little vape crazy since starting a couple of months ago)).

Am generally choosing a 50/50 mix atm; however am getting juice from pretty much anyone who ships to Australia, so haven't always got the choice on ratio. Plus, while the "VG = vape clouds and pg = flavour + TH" rules are 100% correct there are a lot of other factors that affect the final vapeperience.

Haven't worked it all out yet, but having lotsa fun trying.

In my country we have our own PG/VG with nicotine solution suppliers. For around 15 bucks (shipping included) i can get 36mg/ml solution and by adding more PG or VG i can cut it to 24/18/12 mg per ml, ad my favorite flavours and for around 20 bucks i have 200ml of 18mg juice - its 1 cent for 1 ml of juice :) I dunno if you guys can get nicotine solutions in US but makeing your own juice is a lot of fun :)

Playing with nicotine solutions, however, requires basic knowledge of chemistry - nicotine is a potent toxin and a lot of caution should be taken when handling and disolving this stuff. Gloves are good idea.
