What Does An Ego-C Twist Battery Do That Makes A Difference?

I am fairly new to vaping so I wondered what all the hoopla about the Ego-C Twist battery is all about? I've heard something about changing your voltage. What I would like to know is what does that do? Does it give you a stronger more custom throat hit and/or increase the flavor of your juice? Don't mean to sound dumb, but I don't have a clue. Also can it be used on an Ego-T?

Any info you can give is appreciated.

From my understanding, normal e cigs voltage Max's at the level the Twist starts, so you can boost the voltage right up to 4.8 volts. The higher the voltage the bigger/better the throat hit and vapour produced.
I vaped Smoke Green e cig's for the first 4 weeks on vaping but through video's on youtube looking into variable voltage decices I moved up to the Ego C Twist, bought 3 batteries, 2 fast chargers and use eGo Vision V2 cartomizers (2.1 - 2.4 Ohm) that fit perfectly not like some of the tank systems that look weird on the twist (something out of Star Trek).
I'm delighted with the Twist and found my soft spot at 4.0 volt's.
Hope this helps.

The twist has become so popular because it is relatively very cheap compared to the other variable voltage devices. Most ecigs are set at 3.7 volts but with the twist you can change it from 3.2 to 4.8. This means you can make your carto or atty burn hotter or cooler depending on what you like. It also means that you can use any resistance carto or atty and make the vapor production to your liking.

I was intrigued, so I bought one about a month ago.
The best thing about this, to me at least, is you can change the intensity of the different flavors by increasing or decreasing how hot the coil burns.
For example, Caramel tastes most like caramel at the lowest voltage setting. Same with vanilla. But most flavors burn better and give more vape at 4 to 5 volts.
The ego-C battery is 4 volts and puts out 3.8 volts after the small circuit and led button.
The twist is adjustable from 3.8 to 4.8 volts output. I haven't taken it apart to tell what the battery voltage is because I want to be able to continue to use it (I don't have the equipment to put it back together). It's a lot cheaper than other adjustable systems and simple.

About a year and a half ago when I started vaping and was looking at this forum more (much more) there was a lot of claims about the "sweet spot" being 5volts and people with mods to make a 5 volt vape output by sometimes silly methods, like taking an electric drill, removing the drill part, putting an ecig screw in adapter where the motor was and vaping at 5 volts!
