With rebuildable atomizers, the user must learn how to cut and roll their own stainless steel mesh wick, and also learn how to wrap wire around the wick in multiple coils, with both ends of the wire eventually being attached to negative and positive screws. An RBA is considered an "advanced" device, has a large learning curve involved, and one must have some working knowledge of ohm resistance and how to prevent electrical shorts.
These are not for people who expect a device to simply work straight out of the box. One must have some reasonable dexterity in working with small mechanical parts and have the mindset to be willing to tinker with the device to get it to work perfectly.
Having said that, once working properly, many believe there is not a better juice carrying device made for flavor, throat hit, and vapor production.
I consider myself relatively experienced and proficient in the use of cartotanks, and have been rather intimidated with the thought of trying an RBA. I like things that work right out of the box. I finally ordered my first one this past weekend, and I am currently in the process of collecting the necessary tools I will need to try my hand with one.
