what does it mean bridged or unbridged in atomizer build design?

i am new to dripping, as i got a hh.357 cisco last saturday. i don't know if what i am looking at down the barrel is a bridge under the coil. i guessing it is? a ceramic non conductive bridge? i ordered a cheap rda and kayfun 3.1 clone last nite, like to build coils for clearos. are there any rebuildables available that require or allow a bridge?

probably bad terminology saying disposable. i meant more non-rebuildable until at some point cleaning doesn't restore performance and renders it trashed.
When buy an atomizer you ask for either bridged like this one 510 Atomizer - The Digital Cig - Electronic Cigarette or a bridgless one like this one Bridgeless 510 Atomizer, 2 ohms.

Neither of theses would be considered disposable. I use them for sampling new juices, then clean and dry them to use with more new juices in the future. Bridgeless is much easier to clean and get all of the last flavor our of it.

i still don't get what it really means? i saw the examples cited above and they either are bridged or bridgeless design but i can't see enough to tell the difference visually. i sure don't plan on chucking this .357 for a long time. don't know if it is bridged or bridgeless.
Yes, they are found in the non-rebuildable atomizers. I think it was intended to spread your juice over the coil/wick, or to kind of feed it juice.

The bridged one has stainless mesh over the coil to act like a wick. The bridgeless one has the coil in a ceramic cup.

Both work the same way. Screw it on to you PV and drip 3 to 5 drops into the atomizer. This can be done through the drip tip if it has a wide enough opening, otherwise you will need to pull the drip tip off to drip your juice onto the coil. BTW this is how drip tips got their name.

You vape until the juice is almost gone the drip some more.

The bridgeless attys are IMO the easiest to clean, usually hot water is sufficient to remove residual taste. With bridged attys I use baking soda and vinegar to clean them before next use.

thanks sdennis, i am on track now. also answers my .357 question which must be bridgeless. i thought the ceramic to be a bridge. i did soak in vodka a few hours and rinse out last night. the atomizer, that is, not me it helped clear out some tobaccos i had been tasting. really like sampling and mixing flavors with a dripper.

Yes, all hh357s are bridgeless. Atties used to contain bridges to make contact with the cartridge material to facilitate transfer of juice from the carto filler material to the coil. Since cartridges are virtually a thing of the past the bridges are just a carry-over from a different time.

edit: You can see what a bridge looks like on a 306 atty (which is just 510 without the outer tube). They come in both bridged and bridgeless and the difference is obvious. The bridge is the mesh part that sticks up "out the top" of the atty.

i think this the kind i accidentally got, i don't know how to use it, if i screw it on my MVP and drop juice in there i either get dry hits or gurgling. mine's a 510
