What does the ohm measurement of an atty tell you?

I was just wondering I read a review of an atty and it said it measured at 2.7ohms and was perfect etc... One of my 510 ones measures at 2.7 the other at 3.9 to 4.
Should all 510 atty's measure at 2.7? I understand that a lower resistance will make it burn hotter, my question is if the resistance increases as they get worn out ? is this an indicator of atomizer condition etc?

It means they are good. If you got a reading way above that and into the 'k' range, the atty is shorted. If you get no reading at all, the atty coil is broken. More tips at;

Nope.. nope...

If you get a reading well BELOW 2 Ohms the coil or atty is shorted. Zero Ohms is a direct short.

On a 510, a normal reading with a good meter is in the low 2's. Honestly, anything above 3 Ohms and the atty isn't going to perform very well. And you can't fix high resistance.

That happened to me a lot in high school.

I also got slapped a lot in high school.

But every once in a while I would find a girl whose brain didn't work as fast as my fingers....
