I an interested in grabbing a dripper, and wondering what dripper might suit me best.
I use an eVic right now, and am planning on grabbing a Nemesis for home use. I have only been vaping for a month and a half and have run the gamut on clearos. Pro tanks, iC30Bs, Aspires... I found I liked the Aspire BDC best of the bunch. The 1.8 coils at 5 watts worked best for me. I decided to try to see what all the fuss was about with rebuildables so I grabbed a Russian 91%, and have ordered a Kayfun Lite Plus. I really like the Russian, and I mean REALLY like it. I am vaping 18mg while running a micro coil at 1.4 ohms, and find it tastes amazing at 7.1 watts. I find the rich flavor intoxicating, the warm vape is incredible, and the clouds are plenty for me.
The other day I got to try a couple nice toys. I got to hit on a dual 18650 box mod with a Patriot dripper at .25 ohms, he said he had hogged out the air holes (sorry, I don't recall how big) a 6mg nic juice. To me, it was too much. The throat hit was so intense I lost any real sense of taste from the juice, it hit like a hammer. I also found it too airy. So I will say that sub ohm is not for me. He did have a Provari with a Kayfun Lite. Not sure what his Pro was set to, but while I felt it tasted a little hot, it still had a nice draw and a good flavor. I also tried an el-cheapo mech with a cheap dripper with a 30 amp Sony 18650. The guy who had it didn't really know his coil resistance. It was rather amateur, but it tasted better than the sub ohm build, but again it was too airy.
So in my research I am gathering that I want a controllable airflow with a fairly small chamber. I want full flavor, with modest airflow... better than a clearo or carto.
What would you suggest that might meet my needs? I am hoping to keep the unit at around $100, but $150 is not out of the question.
TIA.
