What dripper would best suit me?

I an interested in grabbing a dripper, and wondering what dripper might suit me best.

I use an eVic right now, and am planning on grabbing a Nemesis for home use. I have only been vaping for a month and a half and have run the gamut on clearos. Pro tanks, iC30Bs, Aspires... I found I liked the Aspire BDC best of the bunch. The 1.8 coils at 5 watts worked best for me. I decided to try to see what all the fuss was about with rebuildables so I grabbed a Russian 91%, and have ordered a Kayfun Lite Plus. I really like the Russian, and I mean REALLY like it. I am vaping 18mg while running a micro coil at 1.4 ohms, and find it tastes amazing at 7.1 watts. I find the rich flavor intoxicating, the warm vape is incredible, and the clouds are plenty for me.

The other day I got to try a couple nice toys. I got to hit on a dual 18650 box mod with a Patriot dripper at .25 ohms, he said he had hogged out the air holes (sorry, I don't recall how big) a 6mg nic juice. To me, it was too much. The throat hit was so intense I lost any real sense of taste from the juice, it hit like a hammer. I also found it too airy. So I will say that sub ohm is not for me. He did have a Provari with a Kayfun Lite. Not sure what his Pro was set to, but while I felt it tasted a little hot, it still had a nice draw and a good flavor. I also tried an el-cheapo mech with a cheap dripper with a 30 amp Sony 18650. The guy who had it didn't really know his coil resistance. It was rather amateur, but it tasted better than the sub ohm build, but again it was too airy.

So in my research I am gathering that I want a controllable airflow with a fairly small chamber. I want full flavor, with modest airflow... better than a clearo or carto.

What would you suggest that might meet my needs? I am hoping to keep the unit at around $100, but $150 is not out of the question.

TIA.

like suggested before the vicious ant cyclone seems like the perfect setup for you.

I got an ERA with air flow control by Budz Worx, same idea as the Cyclone.

Priced well and its a quality item.

If you opt for the bottom feeder version, it adds versatility later on down the line.

Cyclone on the Provari & ERA on the Caravela
Both are running the AFC(air flow control) top caps

I like the Cyclone. Looks good, it's tiny so the chamber is obviously small, and the deck looks like a nice space to build on. I haven't seen it mentioned before, oddly. I see it is also readily available and it can be had for $75. This is actually really high on my list right now. But is it a 510 drip tip? It looks larger, but being that it is so small that may be an optical illusion. I just need to know as I have a feeling I am going to order it even if I do snag another dripper... I really dig it.

I had looked at the Trident, which seems to be all over the place here, and it is actually the specific RDA I had in mind when I mentioned $150. I was worried, however, about the chamber. How big is it? It looks like a big device, but I am sure that the chamber is designed to be small as a high end dripper has to be built for flavor, or so I assume.

I have to say, I like the simplicity of the Immortalizer as well. Looks like a tiny chamber, and I like the 2 pole design. I am new to building so a bit more space seems to make sense for me. Awesome to see a ceramic base, too. I understand that stainless may color flavor where ceramic doe not, and perhaps it might open up a different idea of what I should expect from my juices. This is another must have it would appear.

The Atomic looks like a nice unit, but I have to admit that I am a bit apprehensive of the dual coil design. I understand that you can just build a single coil on the platform, but I worry about the space that appears to be lost because of it.

The Trident has almost twice the space. It is large compared to the cyclone.

That's extremely disappointing. I may have to strike that from my list. TBH that was the big dog on my list, so I hate to hear that.

With that thought in mind, I think the Cyclone is the top of my list right now. Any input on that opinion?

Sandt so here's where I ended up. A stock nimbus v4 has great airflow, I grabbed one yesterday. And omg, do dual coils! They set me up with a single, then I tried it. Then they built me a double, and wow!! So much better flavor.

However... Since I am never satisfied and like to try several things I've got a Helios coming as well. That just looks like the best compromise. It's about the same size as the trident, which is a little larger than the nimbus. But the airflow is adjustable to suit whatever mood I'm in.

the only reason why i push the cyclone over other 22mm drippers is because the OP wanted a smaller air chamber for the eVic(?)
I personally like my 22mm drippers. but most of what people are recommending really isn't what sandt38 is asking for....
here is a size comparison
left: Omega by Vapor Bombz (typical 22mm dripper size)
right: ERA By Budz Worx w/ AFC (same setup and size as the Cyclone)

this should help decide without bias.
