What % of PG to VG do you prefer?
When I am using subΩ clearomizers & rta's I usually use 50%-70% VG. When using rda's I use 70% (and higher) VG.
What Brand of e-juice do you use?
When I'm not DIYing, Ahlusion is my go-to vendor for juice. Ahlusion does fruit & tea vapes very well.

I also love Omega Vapes Breeze (peach/cantaloupe blend), Cosmic Fogs Milk & Honey, Ripe Vapes Pear Almond and One Hit Wonders Muffin Man (apple/cinnamon muffin).

Thank you for your reply... I am still VERY new to all of this. :D

May I ask, what is:

subΩ ?

clearomizers ?

RTA's ?

RDA's ?

In fact, is there a Forum Vaping Dictionary, where I might learn these various terms
and such?

May I ask, what is:

Ω = ohm. subΩ = resistance less than 1 ohm.
clearomizer = tank that uses stock/factory coils
RTA = Rebuildable Tank Atomizer
RDA = Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer

With rebuildables you have to buy wire, wrap your own coil, install it, measure the resistance with an ohm reader and put in the wick. Though you can buy pre-wrapped coils at some online sites.

Hi justagurl!

I just ordered ENjuice Espresso Mocha.

With my starter kit I will be getting Tiramisu Latte .

I find that I really like the chocolate coffee type flavors.

For me, desserts, sweet coffees, bakery flavors, and some fruit flavors.

What % of PG to VG do you prefer?

Generally 70% VG for most vaping, and max VG for dripping.

What Brand of e-juice do you use?

It would be easier to list the ones I don't, lol. There are a few I keep coming back to over time - Vapor Chef, The Standard, Cyclops Vapor, D&D Vapor, MBV, Yaeliq, just to name a few, and I have a subscription service that keeps putting goodies in my mailbox once a month, plus I DIY about half of what I vape.

I'm a tobacco flavor kind of guy and I like about 60%+ PG for all my vaping needs. My favorite is The Virus by Nicoticket.

yeah, most of my prior e-cigs have been tobacco flavored. My last one had a hint of chocolate
and coffee, and I LOVED that taste.

Thank you for that clarification. :D

I took electronics classes in college, So, that should be very easy for me.... YAYYY.

Truth be told, I just bought a set, a starter kit, the eGo... (was using the cig look a likes before)
after I give the eGo A1 a whirl, I can learn more about the building my own, I LOVE DIY projects.
as it stands, I know nothing about the different components in the different vaping models, I would love to
learn a lot more though. :)

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.

Caveat emptor, however. Nicoticket's Virus has been known to cause "Rabid Fan-boi-ism Disorder."

Reign and I are the poster children.

Oh, and Nicoticket has other flavors too...

And the only cure is more Virus, which leads to being more rabid, which means more Virus. It's a vicious cycle. :p

Hello and Welcome,

I've been seriously vaping a little over a month and have been getting into building. Most of my learning has been on YouTube. There's a wealth of information between this forum and YouTube vids.
Watching product reviews helped me learn about the various parts, and how they work together, and the forum has and is teaching me how to adjust for preference and performance. Also where to find some really good ejuice.

Sounds like you got a good starting kit. One of these days I'm going to get an eGo one kit
Good luck and happy vaping!

Thank you all for your replies.

Being so new at this, I find myself now looking around for different flavors to try...
LOL, my new starter kit has not even arrived yet... hehehehe

Fact is, I have yet to try any fruit type flavors, as I love the tobacco with chocolate and coffee
so much, that I am afraid that fruit will not taste as good to me.

on a side note, due to the EU and fears of banning e-liquids and such, I feel
that I need to learn to DIY, just in case they do ban the liquids. UUUgghhh, hopefully,
that will not happen.. It is after all the EU, they LOVE to ban EVERYTHING!!
so I should prepare myself for their stupidity. :D

There's online companies that sell complete diy kits. I got one from
www.liquidbarn.com
It came with everything, and I do mean everything to start mixing out of the box. It comes with really good instructions too. The kit I got was $73.00 us dollars. I'm not sure what that is converted.
They say they offer international shipping, so maybe it's available where you are.
This is a good review of the kit

His site has some excellent how to diy vids.

I'm afraid of bans/excessive taxation coming here. So I hope a lot of people start learning how to diy liquids.

Good luck!

personally i like fruit (especially berries) and dessert flavors. im not a fan of tobacco flavor at all. custard is ok. it depends whats added to it. i would recommend going to a vape shop. you will be able to try out the juice they have so you can get an idea of what you like.

as for mixing it has its pros and cons. it will take some experimentation to find out what you like. one thing i would recommend is dont use graduated cylinders or pipettes. the easiest thing to mix with unless you are doing large volumes are syringes with blunt tip (not pointy) needles.

in general i will try out a flavor making 5mL of the juice. generally im mixing 65%-70% VG. a 3mL syringe is perfect to measure out the VG and a 1mL syringe is perfect for the rest. when i know that the flavor turned out good i will make about 15mL and give that a try in a few tanks. if im still happy thats when i will make a few 30mL bottles in a batch.

in addition, mixing yourself at the beginning can be a bit expensive. you need to build up a library of flavors unless you just intend to vape a couple flavors over and over again. however, once you know what you like its extremely cheap to keep making. there are some great videos on youtube you can check out.

I'm sensitive to VG so I vape 80PG/20VG most of the time.

The flavor the got my off tobacco flavors was fruit. I prefer berries and citrus. I also like a dessert flavor sometimes. Menthol is good with fruit, if you want an extra kick.

However, everyone is different. Go to a vape shop and try different flavors, or order sample packs online.

I mostly DIY, but some vendor flavors I like include:

NJoy Artist's Collection Samba Sun
Alice in Vapeland Lemon Loves Cake
Alice in Vapeland Dutchess de Leche
Grants Vanilla Custard (UK)
