the first question is what device are you going to put it in? How many watts do you plan on running in it?
I've got a Magma RDA, and plan to get a rebuildable tank like a KFL+ or Kanger ST-Mini in the near future. Maybe a fog machine like the Mutation X V2, could be on the horizon also. My rDNA40 only fires down to .1 ohm, I believe? And with how I understand temp control to work, I don't see any reason to set the wattage any lower than "as high as it will go" (which, in my case, is 40).

KFL+ - 28AWG Ni200 - 7 wrap - 1/8 ID - Rayon Wick = .109 - .122 Ohms

Although a pain in the ... to work with when it comes to being flimsy as hell, try twisting the legs before inserting them into the post holes. It's easier to achieve .1 on 28AWG vs the 26AWG. Try the TEMCO tempered Ni200 wire if all else fails. It's the same thing - its just tempered instead of annealed which makes the wire a bit more durable (hard). According to my research - take it for what it's worth - its the same wire, just different processes used to manufacture it.

Ok, my bad - thanks for the correction. It is Lightning Vapes - Tempered Ni200 Wire. It just showed up when I did a query for TEMCO Tempered Ni200 and showed the Lightning Vapes spool. Sorry about that. But yes, try the Tempered Ni200 wire AFTER you try twisting the leads together before inserting into post holes if you're having issues with snapping / breaking. If you have an RDA / RTA without post holes, then try wrapping the wire around the screws. I found that 28AWG wire works wonders in dual coil configurations that way. A more solid connection, no more chopped wire, and a lot easier to adjust as well. My 2nd nickel build in my MXv4S was wrapped around the screws - because the MXv4S has some pretty jagged screws and will cut wire faster than wire cutters if not careful. Had no issues with shorting or LOW RES warnings when trapping under screws that way either. 26AWG Ni200 is a nightmare and most RDA's and RTA's don't have enough space in them to fit a 12 - 16 wrap coil (with spacing) to meet the resistance to fire - .05 on most TC devices.

These are the 2 places that claim to carry it - yes... nothing but love for my UK guys over there.

Going to put in an order soon with Temco for some coil wire, and since I have a TC-capable device I figured I might pick up some Ni200 along with my 28 and 30 gauge kanthal. If I'm only going to get one size of nickel wire, what would you recommend I start with?

I use 30G for dual coil tanks like my Zephyrus and 26G for my KF4 and Nectar Nano.
Check the target range you want to hit and use Steamcalc to calculate the number of wraps necessary to hit your targeted ohms.
