the nautilus mini for me was a godsend, simple, repeatable, no playing around etc etc.. Well all of a sudden I have noticed the coils are different in there actions, real muted taste, very hard draw and generally last me about 2 days before they are useless. I happened upon a youtube video that mentioned they have changed the wick material, any truth to this? If so I need to change to something else because these coils are garbage comparatively speaking to the old ones.

They changed from ceramic wicking to all cotton Japanese cotton coil. They also made the wicking holes bigger so that it wicks better. There were a lot of complaints and fears that the ceramic material was harmful if inhaled. Kinda like little needles that stick in the lining of your lungs that can cause infections . You can read all about it on the aspire's website forum page.

I find the new coils a lot better in every way. Wicking, taste, and length of use. I always had trouble getting the ceramic coils to wick but since the change a drop on each wicking hole and two to three drops in the center, assemble tank, and let sit for 5 minutes and your back vaping in no time even with a 70/30 VG/PG mix. Sorry you not having any luck. Are they older coils you are using? You can tell by the size of the wicking holes. Are they authentic coils? Might want to check for authenticity. Maybe you just have gotten a bad batch. Try getting a replacement for them from the company you ordered from. Its worth a shot. Honestly though I have had zero trouble with mine. Good luck to you!

This is what I was going to ask too. I was changing one of mine out and noticed the flavor was really weak. Checked it out and the wicking holes were noticably smaller than the new ones.

Yeah, if they have the smaller wicking holes I would say that they were the old coils with the ceramic wick. I have several left that I stopped using when the OCC BVC coil came out. Careful also as a lot of your B&M's will still have them in stock just trying to work through their inventory before they reorder. Woody might have got them from a local shop. Just make sure you check the holes before you purchase...that's what I would do. I buy mine as well as Kanger OCC coils online from World of Vapes (WoV). Good price. Great service.

If you have really given up on the nautilus, try the sub tank (the smaller one, if you prefer smaller tanks). It's a better tank in every way, IMHO.
I have to agree. I really liked my nautilus too but then i started getting a lot of bad coils and the last pack i got all 5 were bad so i bought a sub tank mini and i love it, I use both the OCC coils and the RBA deck and its better all around for me. Had to change from mouth to lung to strait up lung hits though so anyone that vapes mouth to lung should consider that, People say they vape mouth to lung with the sub tank but it was waaay to hot for me.
