When some one says "If I were you" they are walking on thin ice. So If those cravings are daily then I will guess the issue is either your PV isn't the right one for you OR your nicotine "Comfort Level" is higher than 36 or maybe both.

For me the Joye510 (not the eGo) is more satisfying for the nicotine thing because the hit (too me) is harder. I have the eGO also and to me the 510 is more satisfying for the serious hard nicotine craving.

We are all the same but some are different.

If I was doing 36 and going through what you described...I'd smoke a cigarette!

It wouldn't be like falling off the wagon (to me) but I wouldn't go through the agony you described if a cigarette would knock out the pain.

Many smoke cigarettes and vape and slowly reduce the number of cigarettes they smoke giving their body time to adjust. That may work for you also.

I get what you are saying Petrodus. I didn't really mean " if I were you". It was more like I meant that I wish that it would have been as simple as switching from cigarettes to vaping like it has been for many people on the forum. I figured out long ago that I crave the alkaloids in tobacco and don't function well without them. I was smoke free for a few months but vaping alone didn't do it for me no matter what the voltage/wattage. I was basically saying that it would have been nice if it had been simpler for me. I have chosen to use swedish snus as a much safer alternative to smoking. I get the alkaloids I need from the the snus but still enjoy vaping. I just do a heck of a lot less of it. I probably use 1/3 to 1/4 of the liquid I did before and can feel satisfied for the most part. I've been down the road of looking for the perfect pv and liquid combination. Until the liquid manufacturers start putting whole tobacco alkaloids in the liquids, then it won't exist for me. Trust me, I have tried WTA liquid and it's a whole different world compared to anything out there currently. The feel of the vapor is enough like a cigarette that I felt guilty like I was smoking. I won't lie, I have smoked here and there but the snus does a much better job keeping the monster at bay than vaping ever did for me. I still love the feel of a good throat hit and at this point still enjoy the physical end of it.

Or neither. A lot of smokers need the maoi effects that come from the whole tobacco alkaloid, not just the nic. Nicotine is a small part of what we enjoy from a smoke. The nic in eliquids have the rest of the alkaloid stripped off which leaves us with the same thing as in a patch or gum. More like caffeine, not the ingredients that give us the calm, relaxing focus of a real smoke. Those work as powerful natural antidepressants and some folks need to keep those in a steady diet or they'll end up on pharmaceuticals or go back to smoking. No level of nic or nuclear powered PV can be a sufficient substitute. Smoking isn't an easy option for some, and why suffer the side-effects of prescription drugs when a safe alternative like Swedish snus is available? hittman gets his recommended daily allowance of maoi's to keep his lid on and is also able to enjoy a nice lungful with his PV without having it permanently attached to his mug. The options are wider than what we've been led to believe.

Twisted does a better job of explaining it than I do but that is the point I was trying to get across. I am not trying to push anything on anyone but just want to let others know that if they try hard to quit with a pv and it's still not working for them like it didn't for me, then there are other safer options available rather than smoking that can compliment their pv usage.

I get ticked off and easily frustrated. Probably because my "brain itches" and I can't scratch it and can't think straight - lol. I notice I also kinda grimace and clench my jaw the whole time. Face gets red....

Just think about sandpaper. YouTube - Steven Wright - Rachel LOL

I tried 36 last night. Usually use 18. That was surprisingly effective.
