Yuck to the menthol but I'm glad your buds are coming back bud :)

Thanks, Slim. Actually, the Menthol isn't that bad, nice change of pace once in a while. Used to smoke Kools and Marboro men, and Newports (?) for ages when I first started smoking. Only switched to non-menthol after lungs started to crystalize (or so they used to say about Kools). LOL

Still vaping Legend Org. and swapping off with Sludge and Shadow/Tuscan Cocoa.

Chak, I was loading up on TC/Shadow yesterday. What a wonderful blend. Got that one from MPH wherever the hell he is these days. He actually blended TC and Heavenly Army. I have a bottle of that blend as well as TC/Shadow. TC goes well with both. I think I might prefer the TC/Shadow just a shade more but both are excellent. I think Bridge is blending these as well and likes it very much.

I'm vaping some of the Generals Gandy that he sold to Mmike mmmm

I need to try some of that TC :)

TC is good Slim. Try the TC/Shadow and TC/HA blends too. TC has gobs of throat hit and knocks down that creamy base you find in Shadow and HA. That creamy base can be overwhelming so the TC tames it while complimenting the flavor.

I found a bottle of Apple Butter Rum Cake that i left uncapped in my drawer for almost 2 months, totally forgot about it.

Holy Apple Jacks Batman!

Very different from vaping Dark Horse just about everyday.

Man, that must be like syrup by now! Do you have any wicking problems with that, Neo?

Oh... and for the original topic... I am swapping back and forth between Dragon's in a tank and Legend in an evod.

got some Huntsman in another evod that I'll throw in there from time to time... Now that I am coming out of the fog (heh) of a 3 week battle with the ol' VT.... it is surprising. When my tongue was shot, pretty much all I got out of that was like vaping an oak tree... not bad, but REALLY woodsy. Now that I can actually taste things, there is a lot more going on in that juice, including a sweetness that I hadn't tasted before. Good stuff.

But now that I can taste my beloved Legend again... I think I'll be in my bunk.

Sorry if this sounds stupid... I'm fairly new to HHV... but Legend Original? Did it change? I ask since I've developed this really passionate love affair with Legend over the past month and I am curious. :)

Yes, well.... more than once, but that's a long story. If you order Legend and in your order notes ask for it to be "original legend" you'll get it with a lighter dose of extract (the way it was made in the very beginning). It's the way a lot of us prefer it.

Truthfully, I didn't notice a whole lot of difference between regular and original. But then I'm not a Legend fan. Do you notice a difference?

Original is lighter, less fruity, has kind of a "candy" like finish. In the standard Legend the top note is cherry, in the original that's well in the background. At least that's the way the two bottles of original I've consumed have been. I have a third I'll be breaking into soon (the first Legend for me that actually says "Legend" on the label). We'll see if that still holds true.

I know Legend is not your favorite but you always liked it more than me. I don't dislike it. Just too many others I would rather vape. I sold all my Gandy to MMikee. Including that bottle from September 27 of Gandygate fame. Figgered someone better vape it up before it goes bad. I believe MMikee sent it on to Slim. It's made the rounds.

Do tell... is there a link to an old thread that I can peruse or something. Or are has the topic gone all Lord Voldemort and no one will talk of it. :)

Oh Gee Whillickers...it's been hashed over a million times and we don't have a thread dedicated to it. I'll summarize for you. There have been several iterations of Legend as follows...(in chronological order)

Gandalf 1a: This was the initial HHV offering from more than a year ago.
Gandalf 1b: Somewhere along the way, more extract was added to the custom mix. I believe it was requested by some of the customers.
Gandalf 2: After running out of Gandalf 1 extract, a new batch of extract was made and came on board in Spring/Summer of 2012. It was different than Gandalf 1. It was also the version that hooked many of us you see on the thread today on HHV (me and GT included).
Gandalf 3: The Gandalf 2 extract ran out and a new batch was made. It was much different than Gandalf 1 and Gandalf 2. This had a cherry/fruity note to it and is what is being used today (to the best of my knowledge)
Serendipity: A cousin of Gandalf. It was thought the reason why Gandalf 3 changed so much from Gandalf 2 was because the extraction time was longer than usual. In other words, Gandalf 2 was a "mistake". But it was loved so much that HHV replicated the process and a new juice was born and it was named "Serendipity". It used the same tobacco but with the longer extraction time. To us hard core Gandalf 2 fans, Serendipity never achieved the same magic as Gandalf 2. But there remains a loyal following for Serendipity that is quite impressive.

Gandygate: Is a term that is nothing more than the discovery that Gandalf 3 was not the same as Gandalf 2. GT and I were among the first to receive Gandalf 3 and discovered it was not the same. There was some gnashing of the teeth by some HHV customers that their beloved Gandalf 2 was nevermore. But we survived. One thing that really helped us survive is that there were two other HHV juices that were very similar (practically identical to me)...Pirate's Booty and Dragon's Fire. We all just switched to these flavors and felt we didn't miss a beat. Pirate's Booty has since changed with the new extract. But dragon's Fire remains much the same. So if you want to get an idea of what Gandalf 2 tasted like, order you up some Dragon's Fire. They are at least very close.

Legend: It was early this year that Warner Bros (owner of the rights to Lord of the Rings) discovered HHV named a few of their juices after their characters (Gandalf, Gollum, Shadowfax). They put up a stink and HHV had to change the names of those three juices. Shadowfax is now called Shadow. Gollum is now called Sludge. And Gandalf is now called Legend. None of the recipes changed...just the names.

Today: You can order Legend or "Original" Legend. Some (including GT) say they impart a different flavor. If you want "Original" Legend, then you order Legend and ask for "Original" Legend in the notes section of the HHV order sheet. "Original" Legend simply uses less extract. But less does not mean it is less tasty. Refer to GT's analysis above for his take on the differences. He knows better than I as I don't especially dig either one of them.

And that's the legend of Legend. :)
