I came home from work where MMDMT and was soooo excited to get my vapemail:
Two bouncing baby 50 mil bottles of Dragon's Fire.
Now, I'm getting nothing. No flavor that I can describe - just nothing.
This is the third time I've ordered it, and it was always somewhat vapeable from the
get-go, but better with steeping. This is not like that. It's nothing.
I uncapped it and put it away for a couple days of doing the steep-and-shake. But,
going by the way it was in the past, I don't have high hopes for it. It used to be my
very favorite juice of ALL juices from any vendor. But now, nothing.
Did I mention nothing? Zilch. Nada. Zero. Nothing.
Yet.

OK, so I think I see what's up. It's the 50 mil bottle. I takes longer to steep and doesn't
steep as much in transit. After a couple days of steeping, I'm starting to get some flavor.
It should be good to go in a week or two.

The same thing happened to me with Gand... er, um, Legend. I vaped it exclusively for so long, I lost the taste. Move on to another flavor for a while and come back to it. It will be there waiting for you with open arms.

Slim, do you know the history of Serendipity? It was the most chronicled accounts in HHV's brief history...otherwise known as "Gandygate".
I haven't heard that whole story either.

Gandygate. Started in September, 2012. Gandalf was a clear favorite for many, many HHV enthusiasts. It was the first juice I truly fell in love with. I couldn't get enough of it. It was easily HHV's most popular flavor (read the first reply to this thread from Hula). Well, a couple of us opened new bottles in late September, early October and discovered it tasted different. It was not the same. The new taste had cherry-like notes in it that were not present before. I was working off a bottle from September 25 and it was the same old great Gandalf. I had a bottle from September 27 and it was the cherry stuff. What happened was a new batch of extract was started on September 26 and it wasn't the same. To make a long story short, there was much back and forth between HHV enthusiasts and Adam about our beloved Gandalf. It went on for quite some time. The new Gandalf was liked by many but there was some of us who didin't care for it much (me included). A few people were downright upset at the change and even dumped HHV. Anyhow, Adam concluded he let the extraction process go on longer than usual when he made that "good" Gandalf. The "real" Gandalf was really the cherry-like stuff. So he made another batch of Gandy using the same exact tobacco and using the extended extraction process in order to offer what we all fell in love with. It was marketed under a new name (Serendipity) but was the same great Gandalf we all loved. Or was it? Many loved the new extended extraction and still do (after all, it was voted the second favorite in our HHV Top Five vote). But was it the same as the Gandalf we fell in love with? Well, depends on who you ask. But to me, it wasn't even in the same ballpark and I actually did not like it at all. Still don't. Can't even vape it. But I am in the minority there. Anyhow, that's how Serendipity was born. The controversy around Gandalf continued as we found there were four different versions. There was original Gandalf (referred to as Gandy 1a), modified Gandalf (using a different level of extraction in the mix and referred to as Gandy 1b), Gandy 2 (which led to Serendipity), and Gandy 3 (which is the current version now called Legend). There is actually a fifth version we refer to as "Original Gandalf" which is nothing more than current Legend with a different level of extraction. Perhaps we should call it Gandy 3b. I think Legend describes the adventures of Gandalf quite well. But in this case, it's all true.

BTW, that Gandy 2 so many of us fell in love with? It tasted nearly identical to what Dragon's Fire tastes like today (or what pre-Xmas Pirate's Booty used to taste like).
