I need some help with suggestions for a new "higher-end" vv/vw box mod. Not looking for a sigelei or IPV etc. (nothing wrong with them... i love my sigelei 100w.) My requirements are something with a minimum of 40 watts... removable battery(ies) (18650 or 26650 no small batts)... premium build and fit/finish... no crazy hard to get FB groups/lists or real long wait times... if there is a list that's fairly easy to get onto or obtain a mod from, rather quickly... i'm ok with that. Willing to spend up to $350-ish (more if it's truly epic)

Me:

I'm first and foremost a flavor guy and use my various Kayfuns and gennis 70% of the time... though i do like a vape that's on the warmer side for most juices. I drip only when sitting at home and that's when i'll go above 40 watts. Only then.

Choices:

The Vapor Flask... been obsessed since the prototype teases... but the worry that a new revision will drop soon (the squonker is coming any day now as well), as well as some horror fit/finish/problem stories has me hesitant. The dna 40 is very appealing to me... but i also worry about not having enough umph. (i hear the NI200 builds can help with that)

The VaporShark isn't physically appealing to me... the price is nice but the build (that rDNA door pisses me off lol), aesthetics... eh' not forcing me to pull out my wallet.

The SXmini is darn nice... downside is only one 18650... as such limited to 60 watts. No temp control... something i feel like could be "the future".

The Nucleus 1.0 seems cool... but it's SO TALL. Build is super solid, dual 18650s, uses an SX350 chip... but it's also $266 for what isn't "much" more than a aluminum Hana shell and SX350. 'eh?

I know of TONS more... but these were the recent ones i've been looking over. I'd love a Wapari... Heresy... VapeDroid printed box... Mokuton M2 etc... BUT i can never catch a break on lists... Please throw up some other classy options and share your opinions. 2015 looks to be the year of the high-end box mod... i'm excited.

There's a mod being discussed somewhere around here, that has the atomizer attached internally on a rail system, so it slides up into a drip tip, leaving the outside as just a box mod plus tip. Couldn't tell you the name but I think it's made by a french group.

EDIT: Here - the Rail Box

Check out vapinart.com they have some nice italian made vv/ww mods around your price range. Amongst other selections as well.

Ah, VapinArt is great! I've been looking at the Karbon Mods DNA 40. Very cool little box... id probably have gotten that if it were a replaceable 18650... or even 26650. I'm still not sold on the LiPo's... i know i should be but i've got too many damn batteries id like to use lol.

Have you seen the Billet Box?

Billet Box Vapor Inc.

As with the Rail Box, I'm not sure it's something for me, but it's awesome seeing unique and innovative stuff. That's why I love my Rogue RDA.
Ive used a billet box... The guy had a dirty carto on it so it wasn't that great of an experience but def a cool design! Not my thing... I need my RTAs and droppers! Lol

I's personally probably spend the extra dough for the flask, but I've heard nothing but good things from owners Bap Box DNA40

I'm still leaning very much toward the flask... probably will end up getting one... really don't see any other mods around that price point with the build quality, and durability (minus the potentially wonky DNA40)... loads id love to but that involve stupid groups and paying up front and waiting months. And not going the flipped route... flippers charge insane amounts. Thieves

I have a few DNA 40 devices, an SX350 and a Vaporshark rDNA 30. By far my favorite regulated device has to be the Vaporflask DNA 40. The fit and finish are just impeccable, and the ergonomics are incredible. It just feels so good in the hand! Huge fan of the VF here. IMO it's the best "accessible" DNA 40 device out there.

I think that most of the DNA 40 issues have been resolved as of right now. Plus, if you have any issues with your Flask, VF has superb Customer Service. Preston from VF (their main customer service guy) is a great guy. I've seen him bend over backwards for customers who've had issues to try and help any way he can.

So VF gets 2 thumbs up from me! :)

The SX350 is what is keeping me back (a little) from picking up the Vapor Flask. The Nicomods wooden boxes are REALLY tempting... but wood mods (non stabilized) always freak me out and i think its going to warp and get screwed up over time. I think i've narrowed it down to the Flask or a Nicomod... you Flask owners (well 99% of you) have nothing but great things to say about them... really tough decision!

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but do you find a difference in battery performance between the DNA 40 and the SX350? More specifically, many mods have significantly worse performance when the battery reaches 3.7 volts (including the YiHi chip in y Sigelei 20W), so by battery performance I mean do you notice a difference between the two when the batteries are below 3.7 volts. If you could tell me what kind of wattage you typically vape at, that would be helpful as well.
