I quit 10-17-2013. I used to be a 2.5 pack of full flavor menthol analog smoker for about 30 years.

In a little over a months time I have purchased 2 VV batters a pass through VV battery and now I have an evic. I went through a handful of the various clearomisers and (as of this hour) I am happy with the Kanger protank II (two of them). I found out real fast you need power to get the required TH. The TH is the most important part to me right now. With the top coil I was getting too many dry hits. Bottom coil I get flooding but at least I get a flavor TH and that is better than dry.

Dry hits?? need to learn to make my own coil and wick system. Yep!! now I own 200 feet of wire and 30 feet of wick from Amazon. The extreme menthol taste for a week (and only 18mg nic from local vendors) was enough and anything that isn't close to a real analog is just plain bad to me. Yep!! a couple of quarts of base and 15 one oz bottles of flavor from TFA and I am mixing my own. Oh yeah and a ultrasonic cleaner so I don't have to wait a month to use my new juice.

I am at the point that if something isn't on order or I don't already have it that I am missing something. I am not addicted to nic anymore I am addicted to this new hobby and all the cool stuff. I am learning about how profound my sense of smell and taste has on my memory. I learned everything here on ECF.. going to keep reading and taking notes...

That's awesome, talk about jumping in with both feet! I've been vaping since about Feb. and still can't bring myself to try the DIY juices or coil rebuilds (but probably sometime soon).

As for the leaking from the PT2, I have never had that problem, but some folks have. I think (IIRC), that adding another flavor wick might help keep it from leaking.

As always, YMMV!

Thanks for the reply, I have done the flavor wick on the Kanger T3's but for now I have 10 extra heads and it is faster to just switch them out and put the used ones in Vodka for a day. This usually brigs them back to life for a dya or two.

What I have noticed is if I keep my set up in my pocket or in my car I think the juice gets thinner ( I use 70/30 mix) and it floods faster. It also happens when the coil get dirty (the juice gets darker). I just like to tinker with stuff and making coils and my own juice is part of the fun.

It absolutly always happens when I am not at home and I have a new full tank of juice and I am driving in my car and won't be home for a few hours. I always bring 3 set ups with me now.

My GPS doesn't have Vape stores on the menu either. I may have to send an email to Garmin. They should be right after fuel and food on the menu.

Steve...

My pro tanks never leak they just flood and I get a mouth full of juice. One micro drop of juice with menthol in it is like a gallon of mouth wash.

I learned everything here and on Youtube on how to do the coil and juice. However, I caution you if you go down this road there is no turning back. Now I want my own Vape store....

I have learned a couple of de-flooding tricks for bottom coil tanks but haven't mastered them while driving. Oh yeah a lanyard is required if you want to vape and ride a motorcycle at the same time. Speaking from experience here...

welcome sjstanfield ... I also use an eVic ... I use those small 3mil tanks on an ECA and rotate about a dozen flavours.

may not be for everyone ... however, I want to keep this simple ... I started this only to quit smoking cigarettes.

As for the hobby aspect ... I am avoiding the urge to collect devices and prefer DIY as a hobby :2cool:
