What is a DCT? how does it work?

I've been looking at new devices and I've came across DCTs, namely this one:

Smok Tech DCT

How do they work? are they a good replacement for Ego-C?

Do they have filler material in them? Can you taste the filler like in boges?

Is there another type of kit that'll work better?


I have a vision spinner, ego and riva if my batteries help with the advice,

It is very similar to a carto like Boge. As in, there is a carto that goes up the center that is replaceable with a Boge. It's just a carto that you put holes in so the juice in the tank keeps the filler wet. So, yes, there is filler material. If you can taste the filler on the carto without the tank, you'll be able to taste it with the tank.

You can still get different ohm cartos. I use single coil cartos in my tanks. A lot of people do. It is less drain on your battery.

Hmmm I guess I'm stuck with the Ego-C for now then.

You can use a DCT on any PV though some require an adapter. I use one on my Vamo without an adapter. I do use an adapter for EVODs for ease of use.
