What is a drip tip?

Hello, newbie question. I've just started vaping with a ego kit (and quit smoking), and am preparing to purchase backups after a terrifying experience when my battery died one evening when out having beers. I was looking at the KangerTech ProTank II, and the description said, that you when the coil burns out, you keep the metal base and replace the coil head. I understand this (I hope!)

But then the description went on to say "Protank-2 uses a separate drip tip. You can replace it with various drip tip for 510/901."

What in the world is a "drip tip"?

I see now. It the tip, which can be unscrewed and replaced.

It is not threaded, but has an O-ring gasket.

So it is interference fit into the hole.
