Coil, head, atomizer could all be referring to the same thing.... technically the coil is the resistance wire wrapped around some type of wick that sits inside an atomizer head. The Kanger dual coils fit in the new glass Evod 2's if I remember correctly.

Here's an exploded picture of a Kanger dual coil. you can see the separate coils with loose "flavor" wicks in between them...

Here's what a single coil looks like...

A dual coil head has two coils inside it, wired in parallel. This gives more wire surface area for the same overall resistance. That's the short explanation, anyway :)

If the head has the same physical charictaristics and fits in your evod, then yes you can use it. I'm not overly familiar with the evods, myself, so am not sure what types of heads are available for them. There are so many replaceable head clearomizer systems on the market and the heads are not all interchangeable, so you just have to make sure the heads you buy are intended for your particular gear.

The term "atomizer" can sometimes be applied to clearomizer systems like the evod, the heads will sometimes be referred to as "atomizer heads" or "coil heads". The terminology can get a little confusing, though. Clearomizer is the more appropriate term for those type of systems, in general.

Hope some of that helps :)

The difference between the 2 is that a dual could head (atomizer) has 2 coils to heat and vaporize the juice, and thus should produce more vapor. Whether or not you could use on in your tank depends on whether there is a dual coil head made for it. I know that Kanger recently came out with the T3D which is made for dual coil heads, and you might be able to replace the ego adapter on your tank with one, although I am not sure.

Edit: You also have to take into consideration that a dual coil build uses double the current of a single could head that is rated at the same resistance, and probably should not be used on a standard ego battery or other low voltage unit.

Sorry to get techie in taking current, but it is applicable.

That is one thing I love about most Kanger products, multiple tanks take the same exact coils

Kanger single coils fit: Protank, Mini Protank, Evod, Protank 2, Mini Protank 2 (they might fit the T3S and MT3 as well)

Kanger Dual Coils fit: Protank 3, Mini Protank 3, Aerotank, Evod 2, Aerotank Mega, Aerotank Mini, T3D (I know the new Aerotanks have a fancy enclosed coil but the original dual coils fit as well)

And the biggest advantage to Kanger coils (hands down) is the absolute ease of rebuilding them! I use four different Kanger tanks everyday but haven't used a stock coil in months! Rebuilding is where it's at for flavor and vapor!

Also can you tell me, Can these coils be cleaned and reused? And what is a dry burn?

Yes they can be cleaned and reused. You can either soak them in unflavored vodka or hot water for an hour or so, dry them off (rinse and dry if you used vodka), attach the coil to just a tank base, pop the top "chimney" off, screw onto a battery and fire it for a few seconds at a time for maybe 5 or 6 pulses. After each pulse blow away any burnt off gunk.

The chimney simply pops on and off and there is no particular position it needs to be it. Everything under the chimney is held in place by the bottom pin so don't worry about anything coming loose or shaking free. You should be able to clean and reuse coils for quite some time.

Screwed on to a base like this...

dry fire it with the chimney off looking like this...

Your coil will look different as that coil is a rebuild.
