It's just a manual battery, right?
A manual auto would be pretty nice .. If that was what it was

I've read & re-read their material on the battery in question, and I don't have a clue. Auto batteries are air or breath activated, but manual batteries are just that - batteries that are activated manually by the user. Since they don't elaborate, and describe how it operates, or provide a picture, it just sounds like another scam..............

Hmmmm.... just a guess here (obviously... too little information available) it looks like a "double switch" i.e. you hold the button down to enable the flow switch. So it would take BOTH holding the button, and drawing on the cig to fire the atty. Interesting if so, since that would avoid most "button pressed in pocket" and "wind activated" accidents. Interesting about the control circuit cut-off as well.

There are 2 types of "air" activation switches that I am aware of. One is "sound" based and the other is "vacuum" based.

Red Dragon (my first PV) batts were of the "sound" version which meant in a good breeze, they would turn on - even without you there to enjoy.

The "vaccum" auto switch has a small membrane that makes contact with the batt/atty when you draw on it (suction lifts the membrane and closes the contacts of the switch).

Both have their respective ups/downs. The "sound" activiates in the wind and the "vacuum" wears out - membrane becomes stiffer or sticks and never makes contact.

Auto batts are nice but since moving to a JantyStick V3, Protege' and Bartleby - all with manual buttons - I find the control on time/heat of a manual PV much more appealing.

$0.02

PS - "Includes new air activated manual switch." nice marketing/PR line :D

I have no idea of what they're trying to say..
I would like a manual auto.... one that I could preheat and not have to hold the button down through drawing on it..

Anyway I'd still murder someone for bottles of the juice they fill their cartomizers with!!! If I was wealthy, I'd buy them and squeeze the juice out of them into bottles!!!!

Possibly stating that an atty wouldn't fire unless the button was pressed -and- the vaccuum pressure change was present? Trying to solve a pocket firing issue? Needs the pressure change with the switch trigger as a workaround to having a cutoff?

That is the only thing I can think of from that description. I could see where a niche of vapers would prefer that feature -if it exists.-

Otherwise I'm calling shenanigans on "creative marketing."

The new Red Dragon V-4 is great! I Have 4.

The old battery used to cut out after three seconds of puffing. The new model allows continous puff allowing the throat hit needed. Very nice and smooth throat hits! Could'nt be more happy with the red dragon Warranty too. No worries. Super fast shipping. The Carts arent the best though. The "marbello" is good. Still burnt taste using many carts. Some of the carts go fast based on heavy puffing. I would suggest getting bloog carts.
