What is currently the best tank (non-rebuildable) out there?

Hello folks, I am looking for a tank for my MVP 2. I have the Kanger ProTank II and man, as cool as it is, and as a great of a vape I get out of it *sometimes*, it is just a hassle to deal with. Sometimes it leaks, sometimes it gurgles, and sometimes it stops working all together. I have been through like 5 coil heads in the past 2 weeks.

I am looking for a tank system other than the Kanger ProTank line....Any suggestions? I have never owned a carto tank. I've always stuck to clearo's but I am open to suggestions. thanks!

from my experience with carto tanks, they provide a more airy draw and can be a pain to replace the cartos. it may be best to work out the kinks in your protank 2. coils are cheap and it holds a good amount. nice hit to it too. i recently picked up the volcano inferno bct. ive only had it two days but its handling a 50/50 nuice almost too well. its more airy than i prefer, but its really nice. under the drip tip is a small divot where juice pools, and if its gurgling, i just dry it off under the drip tip. there is no vent hole where the screw in base is, so no leaking / extra cleaning on the battery connection. coils are expensive for it, but supposedly they last longer. works on my i taste vv3 so it should work on your mvp2.

Ive been really impressed with the iclear 30's......drawback are ,,,,not rebuildable... however...no glass tank....dual coils not rebuildable....long soaking/priming time required...juice hogs......hard to change flavors....... pros a tank flavor is fantastic..... solid huge vapor,,,,after first tank flavor is great...... 64 full tanks with no maintenance needed (finally boiled and vodka soaked just because I wanted to change flavor)....If you have an ADV highly reccomended

I used pro tank 2, until I got my KFL+ and the symptoms were the same. I kept either hitting the gurgles or leakages, I did find a fix for it though. Basically, I stumbled onto the Protank build thread, here on ECF, and it showed how to rebuild the coils with a cotton wick, the problem was that I had no spare wires to build one from scratch and the old coil heads were burnt to a crisp.

What I did was, remove the silica (be careful not to drag, bend and rip the could when removing it) and dry burn it 'till the coil was clear of all the build up and gunk, then I just took a piece of cotton wool and rolled it into a nice strand, pulled it through the old coil and trimmed it. (If you do this make sure not to dry burn it or it WILL combust) Drip a few drops of eliquid for the cotton to soak up, fit the chimney and off you go.

I promise you, it was like I had a new and a much better tank than before, first of all, it worked flawlessly and the juice tasted like it never did (even got me upset that I spent all those premium juices vaping through the crappy silica before)

Anyhow, that's just my 2 cent, before buying new tank maybe it's worth a try, hopefully it will fix things up. As far as normal symptoms of gurgles an leaks, do give ECF a search, there are a few thread with regards to pro tank and how to fix the problems related to them.

Happy vaping!

as far as a non rebuildable? I like my CE8 SS Mesh Core. To change flavors, I wash the tank and replace the coil with a clean one. The coil assy. seems to last forever, no burning, no gunking, only drawback is the time it takes to let the juice soak into the coil ( several minutes) when using hi % VG juices.

I'm assuming that you didn't like the iclear16's or iclear30 that your MVP2 came with? With APV's, cartomizers really perform at their peak potential, so would strongly recommend giving that a try.

I like using carto tanks time to time, but I'm more of a clearomizer user, my favorite being the iclear16 for my ego battery, and iclear30-s for my MVP2. I like warmer vapes and because my eJuice preference is all VG and pretty thick in viscosity, the innokin tanks have worked very well for me.

I like the pro tanks too, great starting point in learning how to rebuild coils and trying different wicking options.

I have an Aspire Mini Nova BCD on my Provari. Gives me a really smooth vape. The Mini is 2.5 ml but there is a 3.5ml Maxi. They also have a 1.8ml ego threaded version which I use for my run-around ego batteries. All use the same dual coil bottom fill. No dripping taste, no gurgles and very little leakage though the base. My only beef is that you can only fill to about 3/4 full. Can also change the drip tip to whatever rocks your boat.

I did try carto tanks, but I find the taste is different - less to my liking - but others find them OK. The Kamry is a good carto tank and has a little needle hole to refill, which saves unscrewing anything other than a tiny screw on the top.

So far, in terms of taste, I like the iClear 16's. Maybe there's something wrong with my 30, because flavors taste more muted in it to me. As for most reliable and easiest to deal with, my favorite is the Mini Protank II. Hubby vapes his down to the last drop without issues. He won't use anything else. I also have an iClear 30b, which is vaping fabulously right now. We'll see if I get the same gurgling as I do with my larger bottom coil clearos when the juice gets low.

for what its worth, i've been using kanger tanks with great success but have had the heads go dead sudenly and quickly for some reason: well the reason is sometimes the head unscrews itself a little bit from the base when you unscrew the tank from the battery, result is what i thought a dead head.

so now i make sure i tighten the head each time i refill and i am back to having heads lasting at least 3 weeks easy.

I am also a fan of the Protank 2s, in my usage they have been just about bullet proof. However, you asked for other recommendations, so here is what I have found. YMMV!

iSmoka BCC (Mega or Mini) - This is my second favorite tank. Pros: Lots of vapor, good flavor, holds plenty of juice (mega), cheap, replacement coils cheap. Cons: Plastic tank, Mini version splits at threads after about 3 months of filling/usage (have not had the prob with the mega version, thicker plastic?)

Protank 1 - Pros: holds 2.5ml juice, cheap coils, looks nice. Cons: Non removable drip tip, airy, leaking/gurgling, glued together poorly, you name it.

CE8SS - Pros: Holds lots of juice, cheap. Cons: This thing just sucked. the flavor was awful coming out of it, and I had a lot of problems with it leaking no matter what I did, way to airy draw.

CE5 - Pros: Good capacity, nice flavor/vapor, cheap. Cons: Top coil, and all the issues that go with them. Heads gunked up a LOT, leaking/gurgling, plastic tank, did not perform well with thicker juices, you name it.

EVOD - Pros: Nice fit and finish, looks great, holds up well, uses same Kanger heads as PT series, comes in nice colors. Cons: Plastic tank, small(ish) capacity, LOTS of leaking/gurgling problems, built in molded drip tip, thin juice window (hard to see how much is left in tank).

Kanger T3S - Pros: Good capacity, solid vapor/flavor, changeable coil, no leaking/gurgling like EVODs. Cons: NOT standard PT Coils, Plastic tank with molded drip tip.

Kanger eSmart - Pros: held up to abuse well, great vapor/flavor, cheap (5 tanks about $10). Cons: Small capacity, disposable (not rebuildable/replaceable), plastic, not standard 510 drip tip (CE4 maybe?).

iClear 16 and 30S - Own these, have not tried them yet, heard great things about them though.

I have the mini and full size Protanks and I have rebuildable Kayfun Lites that I enjoy. They do have their problems and I have to work with them.
The cheapest and most trouble free tanks I have ever used were the Kanger T2 top wick tanks. Just fill up, use them for a couple of weeks and put in a new coil/wick assy. I never had a replacement coil/wick not work correctly. Never had one to leak. The only thing I had to watch for was the coil/wick assy unthreading itself when removing the drip tip to refill with juice. I would always tighten it up each time.

I'm using both the iClear 30 clearomizers and IBTanked pyrex cartotanks on my MVP. Happy with both, but I get a little more flavor and consistancy with the cartotanks. I've also used the Kanger Protank 2 and felt it didn't compare to the above.

I have different experiences. I find Evods pretty foolproof, almost never leak or gurgle. The T3 series just way to airy and always leaks and gurgle.

I have not tried any protanks as most describe them as airy...did I mention I hate airy.

My favorite, since almost the beginning of time, is my trusty dusty ancient T2. I have read here that the T2 is problematic on the MVP, which is one reason I have shied away from the MVP.
