I just spent 5 min typing a big long post. I was log in at the time. When I clicked the Submit New Thread. I am told I need to log in. WHAT!! So I log in one more time. Guess what? My newly typed post is gone. Admin needs to look into this problem.
What is going on with the log in?????????????????

That sucks - but it is why I use notepad to write up long posts. Not that I've had a problem here, but I have had it happen on other websites...
Used to happen to me
When ever you log in make sure to check the "Remember Me?" box
This will keep ECF from automatically logging off due to inactivity
For some reason ECF considers spending 5 minutes typing a big long post inactivity

I do that too....or I'll copy my long post several times while still typing it.
If you go back to the same thread you were on it may be in autosave. Or at least part of it.
If you use Firefox, you can install Greasemonkey, then use the add-on called "TextArea Backup With Expiry"
