What is PBusardo's Flavor Testing Method?

So I see PB uses the HH.357 for testing juices. I'm wondering if he cleans out the atomizer and refills it with a new juice. I'm thinking of getting it to test my own liquids before filling up the carto tank.

-Any suggestions?
-Roughly how long do they last vs a standard boge carto?
-How do you clean them properly to avoid flavor creep?

Any extra info would be helpful. I've never dripped into an atomizer.

Thanks!

He has talked about cleaning it out between juices when doing multi-juice reviews. He blows it out, dry burns it, and does a taste of the new liquid. If he detects any flavor creep he repeats until there is no crossover. Then he will continue with the next juice review.

I do the same thing, but if it was a menthol or something strong I will drip a few drops of plan PG or VG after the blowout/dry burn to check that flavor is gone before loading up a new juice.

A good atomizer can last months, depending on frequency of use. I have tasting atties that I've been using for nearly a year. I used the same cisco atty on my Reo for 3 months before getting an RBA...and that cisco atty is still working.
Can't say specifically about the HH357 as I have not used that particular atomizer.

i too use the basic pbusardo method, except i rinse mine with a bit of warm water after the blow out, then do another blow out and then dry burn. the dry burn MUST be very very short pulses. if you see any red on the coil, stop and let it cool down. then go again.

Phil will also use flavor flush. I got mine from fuzion vapers. a few drops in the atty, let it sit for 30 seconds and then blow it out and dry burn. removes any flavor creep if it exists.

The HH is a fantastic juice tasting atty. I am not really a dripper, but i have in the past. but for tasting, the HH is by far my peronal favorite. its pricey but well worth it. My first one died after 11 months. my current HH is about 6 months old. they hold their own :)

I'm looking at the SmartVapes 510 Dripping Atomizer as an option. Does " a sealed center post atomizer so it will not work with automatic batteries" refer to the type of batteries with an automatic draw mechanism instead of a button to press like my zmax v3? Or will it only work on mech mods?

I just want to make sure it'll work on my zmax before i pull the trigger.

yes the auto batt is fired when a draw is taken on it, like an analog cig. your zmax will be fine.

I got 2 of the smart vapes long barrel dripping attys and they work fine on my sigelei zmax mini. I'm liking them as much as my hh357 long barrel. The smart vapes attys hit hard @3.5v being they are 1.5ohm.

You cannot blow out the juice due to the seal.

There are still little air intake holes above the thread that you can use to blow it out.

Just get your lips high enough up the shaft to blow properly. (double entendre intended)
---

There's a video of Phil trying out Halo samples in a gold-cart by a lake where he appears to just blow out the juice and do a quick wipe with tissue - if the juices are similar enough this is all I do to clear my hh.357

That's great. I never thought about the smaller side holes, but you are right.

I know it's an older thread but I just saw this detailed instruction video manual / write-up on how to clean the HH357.

HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 510 Atomizer - Avid Vaper

11 months and 6 month cerver7, that is awesome. Maybe I should get this before I go down the RBA route...

Thank you both so much!! Really appreciate it. Now I should be able to properly maintain both my sealed and non-sealed atties!
