6? Wow! I thought I was bad with 5 Manta V2s. There was another guy, Spydro, I think, who was snapping up every Nuppin he could from the Classifieds. I don't know how many he has. I think he left ECF when the Reo forum closed.
Sad.

The passing of an era...

There are a few that have more than I, I'm sure.

Other than multiple Mantas, I usually get my attys in pairs. I will buy one, and then, if I like it, I'll order another. I'm in that process now with the Maker. I received one a few days ago. I'm still fooling around with it, trying to decide if I like it well enough to get another. So far, I'm kinda on the fence about it.

I often do the same.

I'm considering a second stumpy as we speak.

I like that even after a fresh squonk, it doesn't leak if there's proper wicking in it.

And it performs great for my needs. Tons of vapor with good flavor.

I considered the derringer, but can't get past the idea I know it'll leak in my pocket.

The point of it all is, attys are funny things. They're personal. It's hard to recommend one over another, and you can't buy into the hype. A good example, for me, was the Vector. A few people thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, when it came out. I got one, hated it, and swapped it 3 days later for another Manta, which I loved, right out of the box. But the Manta never got the hype that the Vector did.
Some attys take a second look. I didn't care for the Stumpy, when I got my first one. I set it aside, but for whatever reason, I took another look at it. I didn't get my second one until several months after the first. But it's a great atty.
I see M Attys selling for $800 and up, every day on FB. Personally, I think it's beyond ridiculous. But it's what happens when hype trumps reality.

At 2mm to 2.5mm coil ID, I never liked the Vectors...Just too "open". But throw some 3mm ID or larger claptons in there and WHOA! Different beastie altogether. I still prefer the MantaV2 (CAM). I'm down to only 4 now.

I couldn't deal with the mouthpiece for the Vector. It was a turn off to me. The whole chamber was just too big and airy for me. I'm currently fooling around with the Maker. It has possibilities. I've had several builds in it. So far, I haven't liked the Z coil down the center. The best I've come up with, so far, is dual 2.5mm 26g coils, set as close to the edge as possible, and bottom of the coils even with the rim of the base.

I got a few 801 drip tips to stick in the Vector MP, but in all honesty, if it hadn't been for the custom delrin 510 adapters from TBEV, I'd have moved past the Vectors ages ago.

Cheers

I had a similar experience with the magma and the Mephisto as you did with the vector.

Magma was more of a hot but tootling atty than I liked. Kinda PIF'D those to someone who really seems to enjoy them.

Mephisto... hated that thing. Although the chamber was rounded out on the inside and looked small-ish, it was still huge, the air flow was huge and the post holes were just ridiculous. The entire thing just eliminated flavor for me. I like big coils (not "designer", simple, but big) but not the entire bass string it would have taken to minimize that chamber and utilize that air flow.

Today was fun.
Yesterday my First Squonk mod arrived. Inoy 60w with TC and a Bottom Feed Velocity v2.
Cleaned the included BF RDA and Velocity in the UC and forgot they were there. Hours later I spotted them (DOH!) and Rinsed all parts under Hot water.
Dried, Assembled and set aside for the night.

Today.............fighting in horrible case of Vertigo(No clue why), I managed to Get 2 Kanthal coils built.
Velocity v2 ohm's out at .52 and coils heat nice and evenly.
That is as Far as I could get with it. :( Hopefully I can wick and set everything set up tomorrow.

I'm down to my derringer and my hobo v3. Love my derringer, but find that I am hating my hobo. There's not enough flavor and not enough vapor and it's just too cold. Only thing I haven't tried in it is SS. I have a 26g SS316L 7wrap in my derringer at a 0.4 and it's great. Was thinking that when I order the adjustable center pins for my Reo, I might try the RM7 since he still has some in stock. I can't afford the Maker right now.

I am liking the Velocity right now, nice deck to build on and as much or as little air flow as you want.

Another that I still use for some reason is the Atomic, it has a small deck and is a pain to build on, but, for some reason I like it, lots of flavor with it.

I like the Atomic too. It's an 'old school' atty, by today's standards, for sure. But still gives a great vape. It is a little tight to build on. I build mine with 2mm diameter dual 26g coils, and slant them. I have 2 of them, on a couple LP Grands.
