What is the best item you have ever received in a gift bag?

Hi everyone!

I need some advice/opinions. My sister has asked me to find some decorations/customizable gift bag items for an event coming up. It isn't business or vaping related, so I thought this would be a great place to ask. Normally, I'm fairly capable of coming up with creative ideas but lately, appointments and school loan woes have zapped any creativity I had left. We're on a fairly restricted budget. But just need something that both genders, of varied occupational backgrounds, parents and non-parents would love to receive/find useful.

It's okay if it doesn't come in a whole bunch of different designs, as I often find that if other designs are offered, they're a little too much design, anyway (attempting to be polite here.)

I thought of tote bags, but don't really know if the dudes would be thrilled with those. I suspect that a lot of them would consider this too much like a purse.

I don't do "gift bags" often but being an adult male I would like something small and useable. What if you went to a Target and got small pink and blue bags with that tissue paper and get the guys something like cool bottle openers or something. Just a thought. Hope this helps!

Not sure what your price range is, but this site, Things Remembered has a lot of elegant/fun/useful stuff that you can personalize, and much of it would easily appeal to either gender. If the prices are a bit much for mass giving, maybe you could just get some good ideas there and try to hunt down better prices elsewhere.

Thanks for the replies. I had actually thought about Things Remembered or something like that but they are a bit out of our budget. Thank you for the suggestion though!

I've stumbled across some sweet multi-function bottle openers that I'm hoping to get. I really am just looking at unisex stuff. I'm a girl and I wouldn't want a pink bag full of whatever when the dude next to me got a bag full of cool, useful gadgets. I chose the wrong description I think. It's more like a thank-you-for-coming-here's-some-neat-crap bag. Haha. The bags will all be the same color and contain the same stuff.

If you're handy with the computer & printer there are some neat ideas with cardstock. You can print out something, cut some openings and slide the opener through it.

Maybe adapt something like this
