Well, depending on what you are going for the RSST comes in a dual coil Pyrex tank version for pretty cheap, and it's simple to set up, relatively. It's a lot simpler if you don't dual coil it and just get the single coil version. I got a Pyrex tanked RSST for ten bucks, threw a .7 ohm build on it with a 400 mesh wick and was vaping happy right away, but that might not be your thing....

Are you looking for a clearomizer that either comes with a RBA base or has an RBA base you can purchase? Or are you looking for an RTA?

All of the clearomizer RBA bases (that I have seen) are set up for a single horizontal coil (but you could build a parallel coil) because they are very small.
That comes with an RBA deck, also looking at RDA's but if theres a good sub tank that comes with an RBA deck id rather get that so i can fill up a tank instead of dripping.

The Zephyrus seems to be universally accepted as the best for anyone who has successfully built on it.

The problem with the Zephyrus is that it's a real PITA to wicked correctly. You'll definitely want to watch some youtube tutorials before attempting it yourself. It is NOT for the novice coil builder.

You don't have to get an RDA. There are RTA's (rebuildable tank atomizers) that are not subΩ clearomizers.

Personally after kangertech released the bigger juice channels that came with the Subox tank that you can now purchase just the rba section known as v2, I give that my vote.

I've built single and dual coils on it and vaped max VG juice at 50 watts( if I want to, usually 35 watts) with unbelievable flavor, no dry hits and pretty decent vapor production. I have replaced all 3 of my subtank minis with the new base and it's what I use at work. No leaking and easy to build on.

Just my opinion.

My fav would be the subtank mini. To me it's more straight forward build and use. Coil it around 0.8 and vape away at 16w to 20w.

If I'm feeling generous the delta 2 tank would come in. I built a Dragon coil in it firing at 30w having a warm vape. Sucks juice as if it's very cheap.

I do love the Silverplay from project sub-ohm, its just PITA to wick it. Dual coils and blowing clouds.

I also own a Kayfun Monster clone. I find the deck is hard to build on as the screws have a hard time holding any coils thicker than a 26g. Maybe its just me.

Just sharing my thoughts on the tanks I own. To me the best bet is the subtank. Hardly can go wrong with it.
