If you're open to a bottom feeder, have a look at the REO Grand. You can buy a rebuild kit for it also, but I haven't needed one after well over 2 years of everyday use (though it is a good idea to at least have a spare battery spring or two on hand). Do some reading on the REO sub-forum - you will find lots of helpful folks there who are happy to answer any questions you have:

That's a nice price for the KTS above. I can't speak for how easily repairable it is, though? How handy are you as an individual? How easy to find parts to do it yourself? My guess is that mod is Chinese made and parts and repair service are non-existant.

If you purchase an American-made mod the manufacturers generally stand by their product and will repair it for as long as you own it. For example, the mods by Altsmoke and Super T Manufacturing.

The Silver Bullet is built like a tank and would meet your expectations for a tough mod. It has generally been recognized as one of the more durable mods for years. It comes with a manufacturer's 6 month warranty, but they continue to service/repair Silver Bullets post-warranty. Many people add a sleeve and Kick for variable wattage. http://altsmoke.com/starterkit/altsilverbullet.html

I don't own a Precise from Super T, but they also are revered as tough and durable mods. Lifetime warranty so they stand by their product, too. Super T Manufacturing

k100 telescoping I like very much and use daily.
I like the KTS so much I dont take it out of the house cause its so pretty.
Smok - The Natural, rugged and hits awesome, but again it doesnt leave home cause I dont wanna damage it.

Silver Bullet and Bolt are not true Mechanical but very rugged and dependable.

Thats just a few.

Well there's the silver bullet. It's not a true mech because there is a little wiring going on with the switch. I've heard nothing but good things about it. It's supposed to be built like a tank and super durable. There are people on this forum that use it as their daily device and have had it for literally years. I don't know of any device other than maybe the provari that you can say that about.

I have the BAM. I can't see this thing breaking any time soon. It's solid as a rock. Put a 26650 in it and you're good for a few days between charges.

I also have the curve. I have no doubt that it will out live me. It's a super solid device. I'll admit that it's a bit on the heavy side making it probably my least used mod, but you wanted some thing rugged right? Well the curve it perhaps the most durable mod I have. If something were to happen to it the construction and parts are really simple. A quick trip to Home Depot would get you any replacement parts you would need.

If you can wait, Segelei is bringing a lot of nice looking mechanicals out soon. Most of them are clones of the high end mods, I have my eye on #19 and #20.

I have a K-100 (Empire Clone) which is great and cheap, I think I paid $35 from Hoosiervape.com. If your willing to shell out $100 for a mech, I'd suggest saving up a little more and get a Gus mod. They are the same as a GP Paps, other than cosmetics. The parts on them are interchangeable. Gus mods run $120 at Vaprev.com

Depending on how much your willing to spend, just check out the youtube reviews on the product before you make your purchase.

I love my GP Paps 2.1, unfortunately, I haven't been able to match up even a screw or a spring at local hardware stores. I don't regret my purchase by any means, but I think that an American-made mod would be much better in terms of a repair service or locally available replacement parts. I've had the Legacy by Puresmoker in my shopping cart a number of times, but never pulled the trigger. A mechanical REO seems like a great device, certainly from a durability and repair perspective, but I'm not really into box mods.

well performing, indestructible, simple maintenance....

only one real contender here.... Precise by Super-T

you can throw it out a window, pick it up off the pavement and still vape off it...
i cant say that about any of the others mentioned here...
i did love my Reo though....

if you can cough up the $180 price tag, i say do it.

Lol I just got into a Co-Op for the #19. Getting 3 of them with 2 of their Kick clone also. Will report on how it goes.
