for the money, I would vote for the ego c twist.
Not sure if your version of "for the money" is the same as mine tho..
As for cool factor and options, pro-vari
I really am looking at getting something variable-wattage tho. it seems like a much better system then VV

If you don't have the $$$ for a Provari, I've found eGo twists on sale for decent prices.
The latest Young June version of the Lavatube is a pretty good bang for the buck. It isn't a ProVari, but it's still quite nice, and about 1/3 the price. See the PBusardo review.

Provari for the advanced users (enjoys rebuilds and modding) or anyone who's looking for a quality US built APV (~$180)
Beteen the two above are APVs (LT, VMax, etc.) that tries to balance $$$ and functionality while sacrificing the built quality (mostly made in China).
However, instead of VV, many people are looking into VW as the next big thing (ie, Zmax).
Go here to read reviews on different VV APVs.

Pfft. If you're talking period, and not just batteries, get yourself to LiteCigUsa.net and check out the Variable Voltage EgO/510 USB Passthrough in Polished Stainless Steel. It's $12.95 and it works like a CHARM. I didn't even KNOW it was a VV when I ordered it, but I spend a lot of time at the computer and behind the wheel, and the thing is AWESOME for the money. Can't use it on the go however.
I got my Joye eGo twist 1000mAh for $24.99 - there are frequently sales if you look for them. Word of warning though, the 1000mAh Twists are quite a big longer than I realized.
What is vw? And the provari for $180.00 does that include battery and charger if so where can I find that at te cheapest I found it with all of the above was for around $211.00
That doesn't include anything. No batteries, no charger, no case, no nothing. You even have to pay $25 extra for an extender cap if you want to use 18650 batteries.

VV = variable voltage
VW = variable wattage
Having VW is a step above VV as it take into consideration the resistance of your atty/clearo/carto and adjust the voltage to attain the desired wattage.

go for the twist. it's the most cost effective way to experiment with vv, so you can figure out what the whole deal with it is. i'm still at that level...although, i am saving my pennies for that provari-man, is it sexy!!!
What about this one - older version but reviews seem good. I am thinking of getting it and had posted a question about it but didnt get too many answers.

Why don't you tell us a little about your situation. The perfect car for the money might be a Ford F150 or a Corvette, but it depends on the buyer. The Provari may be the "best" PV, but that doesn't mean it's right for you.
That's the original L-Rider Lavatube. It's nothing spectacular, but at $40 for the whole kit, it's a pretty good deal. It's a nice step up from a Twist for sure. It has short circuit protection and reverse battery protection. The 18650 battery will last you all day without charging. Pick up a spare battery and you'll never have any downtime.
Thanks Thompson - will get one......will be a step up from my 1100mah KGO....and step into the VV world.......
