What is the best way to vape? (atomizers/clearomizers/cartomizers)

Ok, so I've tried a few different things in my days of vaping. With my ego I've used ego-T tanks, I've used vision CE5 clearomizers, and a dual coil cartomizer. Honestly, I'm still searching for the best method of vaping. I love my clearomizers, but they're high maintenance. I have to clean them every 5 mils of juice i put through there. And the taste quality starts decreasing after about a mil of juice that i put through. The dual coil cartomizer has decent flavor, but there's this slight plastic taste which really bothers me. Tanks were okay at first, but they were so hard to clean and they leaked. Then they just started tasting like crap no matter how well I cleaned them (granted I was kind of a noob at cleaning when I used these).

I know a lot of this comes down to personal preference, but whats the best method of vaping? I don't care how much juice it holds, I'm looking for a product that will constantly have good flavor, and is lower maintenance than all of these other products that I've mentioned (even though I didn't give much detail on most of those products).

Also one other noob question: can the ego use 510 items without an adapter?

I refuse to fiddle with stuff myself, just don't have the patience. I just want to pick it up and vape.

After much experimentation, I've come down to this - stardust clearos on ego batteries, and the Vivi Nova tank on a Bolt. Love the taste of both myself. I do a good clean and dry burn every 5 days or so. And they keep going and going and....

Your experience may vary, of course.

I found the Stardusts to be very inconsistent, and performance would decline rapidly. I decided to try the new Vivi Nova mini, and HUGE difference IMO. I got a few of the replaceable heads, which is great, because if I want to switch flavors I can just do that instead of having to go through the cleaning process every time, The perfomance has also been very consistent as compared to the Stardusts. I was starting to get really frustrated after trying so many different things, that i didn't have very high hopes with the vivi nova, but I have been pleasantly surprised! I have more on the way actually.

I use them with my regular eGo and Twist batteries

I second the Nova. I'm using a std size Nova on my 650 twists, and it produces amazing flavor and just enough throat hit.
It can go a good while before needing to be cleaned, and I'm running a dark juice as well (Tiger's Blood).
I recently purchased minis from gotvapes.com and I've read good reviews on these as well.

If you don't care how much it holds and don't want to fiddle with any maintenance and if you want the best flavored hits then dripping on a coil is the way to go. Buy some atties and a drip tip and away you go. Just remember less is more. Don't flood your atty. Three drops max and only if you are going to be vaping for a while. If you only plan on a few hits then one drop is it. Let it sit and when you feel like having a vape put one two or three drops in and vape away. As soon as you notice the flavor drop off. You need to drip again.

I started out over three years ago dripping. Then cartomizers came out and I tried them, yuck. then Clearomizers and fluxomizers and tanks. Constant headaches. Now I drip with one slight variation. I put a small piece of blue foam in my cartomizer and place a drop or two on that as well.

Of course the draw back is having to pull out a bottle. The huge upside is not messing with the equipment. I don't clean anything, the flavor is as good as you can get and once you have it down it's a perfect hit every time. It's been a year since I had one of those days where nothing seemed to want to work right or taste right.

You're right - everyone has different likes and dislikes, and that's why so many different combinations of things are available to use on an Ego. It uses 510 connections, and that's one of the most popular threadings, so literally tons of things can be tried.

I personally like the Type B large tank, the Stardust, and EMDCCs. I do minimal cleaning and don't like to be messing with it all the time to get it to work. So, for me, the above works the way I want it to. Running hot tap water through various parts is the only cleaning I do, and I don't take things apart. I honestly believe that people over-cleaning and tinkering ruins many parts before their time to wear out.

I have have been on this same path, I have tried the clearomizers, I used the low ohm dual coils cause I use thick juice. I am currently using a 3.5ml tank now and I would say its at least 3 times better than the clearos!! I have read plenty on the atomizers/drip tips and have them on the way and if I really like it, I may try the Reactor so I would have the best of both worlds.

For me it is with a variable voltage bottom feeder with a Vapage Hybrid BF 2.0 ohm atomizer. I have a Provari V2, Silver Bullet, eGo Twist, eGo T and a little 510 Halo Element. Smoktech DCT tanks, Vivi Nova 2.5, J-Tanks, Mini Sub Tank, Kanger T2 clearos, Vision v3 and V4 clearos, Ce2's, Ce3, Ce5 and an old ego T tank system. Boge, Lr and SR cartos, Smoktech single coil and dual coil cartos as well as the eGo mega dual coil and Smoktech mega dual coil cartomizers and none of them come close to the vape I get from my variable voltage Boggers Box mod bottom feeder. None of the others are terrible, well those CE2's were pretty nasty actually but none of the others are very good either.

Really frustrating actually. I really think so much of it is tied back to the crappy cartos being put out now as I have had a few Boge SR cartos that worked really well but it's just 1 out of 10 or so. The clearos are almost as bad for hit and miss. Even with the same unit. It might be great for the first fill or even half a fill and then crappy the next. I am about ready to sell off everything I have and just buy 2 or 3 more bottom feeders and call it good.

hmmm, does anybody have any suggestions of what to drip with on my ego? cause i had a carto for my ego, and i took out the fluff to turn it into an atty to drip with, but it kinda tasted like crap. plus i have a question about dripping: with tanks and clearos the heating element gets caked with burnt juice and you have to dry burn it to get it off. do you have to do the same thing with just plain old attys?

I got a nova, well three actually one 3.5 and two minis on the way, I'm so excited, going to stalk my mailbox this week. I did read a few not so great reviews about a plastic melting taste to it when pushing it hard?
Have you noticed any dry hits so far?

I triple vote for the nova, its only my second day and love it more, i think you're suppose to dry burn it before use. plus they can be rebuilt:vapor:
