What is the difference between a Riva 510 & 901? Are they as good as eGos too?

I am thinking I may have converted my mother AND sister to try e-cigs. I am currently checking out the Rivas (before they go off sale at LF since vaporpure is STILL out of stock) for them since they have longer battery life than just a reg 510. I see LF has both 901&510- what is the difference? The threading? Also, are they just as good as the eGo? I know they are basically the same thing. I just want to make sure I find a really good model that has a good batt life and that has the option of cartos too. My mother is still a huge skeptic so I want something that might make her happy and with less hassle than having to switch out batts all the time! Neither one can afford alot- so with the kits on sale at $30 I felt it would be a good starting point. I know I wish I would have gone for an eGo or Riva to start, but I do love the 510s I have :)

I have both and the only real difference between the 510 Riva and the 901 Riva is the battery threading. The 510 Riva is threaded for 510 attys/cartos and the 901 Riva is threaded for 901 attys/KR808 cartos. The 901 Riva also has a shorter cone to accomodate cartos but the 510 and 901 cones are interchangeable.

I also own an ego and the only real difference between the riva and ego is the button (riva - soft, ego - hard), choice of colors available and batt life (riva batt is rated 750 mAh while the ego batt is rated 650 mAh). They are both very good pvs.

Hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the input kashmoney. That is what I was kind of figuring the differences were- but I wanted to make sure :) If that is the case- then 510 it is since that is what I have and I will probably be supplying the 2 of them with extra attys/carts/cartos/juices when I buy more. I don't mind because everyone on here has helped me so much getting myself and my hubby started and I wish to pass that along :)

So- 2 down in my family, 2 more to go! HAHAHAHA!

I have no first hand experience between 510 and 901 other than what I've read. Between the Ego and Riva there are minimal differences. The stock Riva has a 750mah battery compared to 650 for the Ego. The Riva has a softer rubbery feeling button to the hard surface feel of the Ego and the accent color is a little different. Basically the same performance wise.

I think you do get just a bit more out of the Riva. I don't know exactly how much. I gave my dad a Riva battery to use while waiting for his eGo kit to come in. I didn't tell him about the difference in the batteries, and he doesn't go online to see about any of it. After a week or so with his eGo he told me he though it didn't quite last as long. That's my non-technical study. :)
