It's a matter of oppinion. However, the Joye/Janty is the original, Riva is a knock off. Some like the Riva button better, I am very comfortable w/ the eGo button(hard plastic). Some have problems w/ the riva switch sticking, some even have trouble w/ the eGo switch sticking. You can get up to a one year warranty on the eGo, the riva is often much lower. I haven't had a riva to compare, but there is also the eCo from Goodprophets wich is similar to an eGo, but with an LED on the end like most PVs. The vGo is the same/similar to the eCo. I am planning on getting an eCo batt at some point, just for the LED. lol Also there is this monster: 510 EGO Which, if they keep that price I will deffinately be picking up.

I have both eGo and Riva. 2 of each. There is not really much difference between them. Different color trim and the switches are a little different, but performance is equal. With one caveat. The original attys that came with the Rivas were light, airy, and underperforming compared to the eGos. I replaced them with Joye attys and they work just fine now. That coulda been a fluke as I have not heard of any other complaints about Riva attys. The Riva attys are physically different in that they have approximately a 1/4 inch metal band just above the thread connectors, whereas the eGo is solid past the threads.

The Riva claims to have 750mah batteries compared to the eGo 650mah batts, but I have not noticed any difference. Probably because I don't run any of them until they are dead. I tend to recharge all 4 everyday.

Well, I seem to have contradicted myself, lol. There are at least 4 differences, but I mean, the performance is identical.

Oh wait, one more physical difference. The metal band that houses the switch is more recessed on the Ego. I can distinguish between them in the dark just by the feel.

The joye/janty is the original eGo made by joyetech. Riva is a knock off made by SLB witch is the same as the DSE eGo. I have a 510 mega battery made SLB works well, and seven atty's made by SLB standard and LR they don't work very well. So if Riva and the DSE eGo are same thats what they tell me I think the batterys are both 650mah but Riva clames there 750mah.

Dang, they're sold out of the kits. Must've been your post. :)
I would be happy just buying a few of those batteries. But, I'm not seeing them on the site.

I was going to suggest here: 1300mah Electronic Cigarette Battery But they are sold out also. Your right, probably more economical to buy a couple batts. Hopefully they'll get them back in stock.

I must have got the last one. I received it today and it is a really nice silver one. They are longer than a regular ego but the same diameter so the mega attys will fit. I really like the size maybe because I vaped a 801 for a long time and it is just a little longer than a 801. The regular Ego just seems a little short for me. This is probably the sharpest looking PV I have and I have a black Buzz, a silver Indulgence, black 750 mah Riva, a black 1300 mah Riva and a Hello 016. I'm really happy with it so far after a few hours of vaping.

How is that 1300mAh battery compared to the Hello 016?

I just tested it yesterday and I got 18 hours of moderate to heavy vaping with a regular 510 atty and I normally get about 12 hours with my Hello 016. I'm testing my Riva 1300 today to see how many hours I get with that. With the hello I might have been using a LR atty so I will recheck it using a regular atty.
