I am going to try using the Smileomizers for the 1st time (6ml version). I have been using the tanks for a long time now. The thing about tanks I like so much is how fast; easy it is to refill them. I worry that the Smileomizers will be time consuming to refill. When I was using the Cartomizers I used the condom method which was the quickest for me but was happy when the tanks came along.

What is the fastest, easiest way to fill the Smileomizers? Any suggestions would be most grateful. Thanks.

Thank you K9Luvr, BHam and Nailz. I’ll try the syringe method using Nailz’s suggestion about moving the syringe around without a lot of force.

Nailz, you mention using a condom on the bottom (good idea, helps to prevent juice from getting all over). Is there a condom/plug that comes with the smileo’s? If so, can you use the condom method for filling these smileo’s (just wondering)?

I thank everyone very much for the suggestions, advice.

Hi Bill, yes the smileos come with condoms on both ends, and Nailz is right, it is good to use one on one end when filing. It plugs up the center tube so that is helpful in keeping juice out.

As K9 said, yes they come with a condom on each end, but not tried condom method, never used it myself, and I would say better with a syringe, condom would not hold the amount of liquid to fill it either.

Thanks K9 and Nailz for the followup, much appreciated. The syringe method seems like the consensus for the best way to go. I'll give that a shot, I should be receiving the smileo's in tomorrows mail along with the new Zeus batteries I ordered :) Thanks again.

I received my V4L order today. I received my first Zeus batteries; they are the 1300 mah batteries along with my first Smileo’s, the 6ml version.

Filling the Smileo’s wasn’t anywhere near as difficult as I thought it would be. I kept remembering my nightmares of filling those small cartomizers trying so hard to avoid getting juice down the middle. The 6ml Smileo’s have such a large area with the white cone sticking up considerably that it is fairly easy to fill and not get juice down the middle cone.

I initially filled a 3ml syringe with juice and then filled the Smileo. I then realized that using the juice bottle directly to fill the Smileo was going to be fairly easy. So I finish filling the Smileo with the juice bottle instead of the syringe and it work just fine.

I have always been an auto battery user, started out with those small tiny auto batteries a few years back. I then moved onto the Ego manual which I like and I got use to it. Then I moved onto the DAV manuals and recently moved onto the DAV auto batteries. Now I am on the new Zeus auto battery. I like the DAV auto battery but mine seem to be losing the pep in them. I keep cleaning them but it doesn’t help a lot. The manual DAV batteries, the switches in them tend to bother me unlike the switch on the Ego’s so I don’t use them unless I have an emergency.

So far my first few hours with the Zeus battery – I really like it very much. Seems fairly light compared to the counterpart 1300 DAV manual battery I have and it has a lot of power behind it - lots of vapor.

The Smileo – so far I really like it too, I get good taste and good vapor from the Smileo. So far the Smileo taste a little bit better than my 6 ml tank with SC 2.0 Ohms. The Smileo seems easy to fill which was one of my concerns. I think it will also solves my problem when driving up in the mountains. With the elevation difference I found the tanks don’t seem to like that very much, they tend to leak and get all messy.

Two things that concern me about Smileo’s that I guess I will find out sooner or later. With the tanks you can easily tell when you need to fill them without drying it up but I wonder if I will be able to tell as easily with the Smileo when it needs filling. The other issue is getting use to this large mouth piece (drip tip) on the end of the Smileo. Maybe V4L will start making various types of drip tips for the Smileo like they do for the tanks.

All in all, I am happy with my new Zeus and Smileo. Thanks much for all the advice and help.

Thank you HarmonyPB. That would be great if V4L comes up with replaceable DT's for these Smileo's. After reading your review that you previously posted on about the large smileo's I am going to take your advice and use the Ego Mega cartos DT. I just order some so I could change out the DT's :). I could kick myself, I had those Ego Mega cartos ages ago but threw them out about a month ago when I was cleaning up, I figured I would never use them - oh well. So far the Zeus and Smileo is working very nicely, I am enjoying them.

    Bill,

Glad you found that post. I was gonna mention the DTs from the mega-carts as a substitute. And as far as when to refill, when I notice a difference in flavor and vapor I add a little juice, so I probably top them off once or twice a day.

Thanks K9Luvr - I going to be a bit more careful initially until I see how long I can go between refills. So far 4.5 hours into vaping the smileo and I just added more juice which is about how long I would have gone with a tank before adding some more juice (I never like getting the tanks too low).

I am wondering what the average lifespan of these smileo's are? My tank cart's would last typically 7 days before I would replace them. I am hoping the smileo's last longer or at least as long.

    Thanks again K9.

Be sure to let us know how long the smileos last you Emb. It's a popular question and although the answer will be different for different people it's always nice to see how they are working out for others. Mine have lasted me months, but I don't use them daily. I switch between several different devices so it's hard for me to get an accurate count. And cleaning really lengthens their life, in my experience.
