What is the right Fluval for cart filler?

I'm pretty sure the Fluval I bought is wrong.
Hagen Fluval Foam Inserts at PETCO

It's very plastic and porous and doesn't hold liquid very well. I've heard the Fluval that is being used has a polyester quality to it which this does not.

Search for SKU: 1177346 at petco I think this is closer to what you looking for. Haven't bought any yet myself but have noticed some of the fluval products say foam and some say polyester. You don't want the foam stuff.

Damnit. I had those in my hand but went with the Fluval because I hadn't heard of anyone using them...

That's the first I heard of them, the fluval you want is the this one here. It is style #A-190.

I swear, those "2 plus" fluval pads were MADE for carts!

Splitting them three ways for the right thickness and cutting a strip off the short side gets you three *almost* perfect refills!

Hey group,

So we stopped at Petco today , thanks to everybody's advice here.

We could not find the Eheim Disks nor the Fluval 2 plus. However we managed to pickup a Fluval Product. Although sometimes we are such worry bugs, so we managed to pick up the Fluval product - A#-244 (does not say either foam or polyester) although it looks like polyester I wish it just said it on the box.

Seems to work nicely so far for us so far. I'd hate for this stuff to be harmful because getting hacked up in the itty bitty pieces is about all we can take at this point . . . (not for everybody to understand intially of course).
