With all the devices out there, which one is the safest and why? IOW what characteristics does it have built in to ensure personal safety under normal use and circumstances. Please be specific.
Not sure if there is such a thing really. The only thing I can think of is different models run at different temperatures. I have no idea. Maybe some are built better than others, but thats all a crap shoot. I think the safety has more to do with the liquid. but who really knows.
i am sure its a ScrewDriver, that inner top spring under short, will contract and lose battery contact.
i`ve had a un attyed dse 103 battery explode in my shirt pocket, from a (i think) a drip of coffee, was not sure, there was a dime size brown spot but may have been battery freash from charger and put in pocket.
The GGTS. Has a fuse type spring that will collapse when a short is detected, has vent holes in end cap, has a locking button and accepts protected batteries.
so far the Chinese mass produced devices are the safest , the batteries have low voltage cutoff ( battery low ) over charge protection ( finished charging , usually in the charger ) and short circuit protection (turns off after so many seconds )
No mods have that yet.
collapsible springs help !
Thanks folks. That is pretty much what I had gathered and was reinforced elsewhere. The question was asked with a certain degree of ambiguity in favour not to influence possible answers.
Unless someone else can chime in, I have enough information to make an educated and informed decision.
