oh bugger. What did I miss @Izan ?

Did I need to add Sacred?
LOL.
Shall I reveal or wait for others to guess?
It's name is a condition many of us around the world have been living under.

And I don't have a guess at your WIT... some kind of tank I suppose...was it black at one time?

Cheers
I

So Doffy got this right? It's call the EPM mod?
Is that the model name or manufacturer name?

Si. It's both, manufacturer and model, named for the modder's initials.

V1 hit the scene somewhere 2011-2012, maxed at 16w. V2 came a bit later, whenever the DNA30s came out, maxed to 34w. Maybe my favorite mod of all time.

Both of mine are retired, as the battery packs finally gave out. Kat's milking one of her two still, very reluctant to remove the battery pack and retire it.

EPM Mods (And now for something completely different...)

I don't think @Doffy was interested in posting anything though, so it's Open Season.

So it's an OG Republic Lockdown?
Gorgeous mod.

Yes my tank was a Vaporesso Gemini. DP nearly got there. Nailed by Uncle J

I just read your 2013 review of the EPM. So interesting how the tech has changed.

Sounds like you could put a new battery pack together - have you tried? It's obviously a very special mod.

I'd blow myself up, but yes, technically it's possible (if one could find 18500 batteries, of course). Kat would like that (not the me blowing myself up part, I don't think)

It is and was a very special mod, at least for me. I think most who owned one (or many) feel the same way. I believe Mr. EPM has long since sailed, for unrelated (and understandable) reasons, but fans remember and miss him.

Unfortunately, the industry has seen too many good folks move on. Every one of them with very valid reasons, but they're still missed.

I'm not sure I'd trade away those years for anything, and I'll keep some of the more important (to me) mods forever. They'll stand as my own personal testament to some of the sheer brilliance and innovation that takes place when a bunch of people set out to do something different and memorable.

GOOD times. :thumbs::toast::vapor:

Do you think that those batteries are soldered in there? I wonder if they might be in a sled? Have you ever opened it up?

I have. I removed the battery packs from both of my EPMs. I had spares so had actually replaced each one time.

I think I recall that he said he did something with shrinkwrap (but don't quote me).

Well said! I'm envious of you early adopters of vaping. By the time I started in 2016 it was obviously a different world but still full of brilliant ideas and innovation.

If you ever change your mind or find a friend willing to help, you can buy new 18490 and 18500 batteries. I had to source some last year for a REO mini 2.1 LP
The Basen blacks are the best I've found. The AWs are also still available but there are many clones.

Yeah, I saw that just now on the PDF manual
File preview EPM VW INSTRUCTIONS V2.pdf - Page 6/6

It's a battery pack they made with Sony VTC5 18650s or AW 18490s wired in series and shrink wrapped. Batteries are likely soldered to the connector and may have a circuit on/in it (not sure).
