I will post the inside pics and answer when I get off work. It is a really old piece and I was trying to give as long as possible for someone to answer, sorry if I was taking too long (I honestly didn't know the protocol for how long I should wait).
I will say I love that everyone has an answer related to the REO. RedEyeDancer has established quite a brand with his bottom-feeders. I had two grands before the possibility of rba-use (pre-lowpro days) and sold them once rbas hit the scene and I was sick of buying 306s just for the REO. I do completely understand what a great product it is and has been nice seeing them evolve from the humble beginnings but this device pre-dates REOs and is NOT a mech device. I would be very interested to know the timeline in regards to when Trog's Screwdriver (first mech mod EVER) came out and when the device in question was released. I believe this device may pre-date the idea of a mech mod also.
