You are correct.

Some Old Goats were very simple (one I had was translucent white plastic) and some of these translucents were "illuminated" from the inside. Others were very pretty and had more *features*.

They were $25-$40, depending on the model. I think I got mine for about 1/2 of that in the ECF classifieds, and mine did not have a lanyard ring.

They were all different:

Some were painted, some were dual battery, others single. They wre truly "custom made".


Vaping may have gotten "better" in the last 3 years, but I have to say, there was something really FUN about it in the olden days.

Ron was a great guy, he had some health problems and had to stop making these, but he REALLY helped a lot of vapers out, making these, because most of us could not afford REOs at the time!!!

One of reasons i made this the contest was because I wanted to kind of memorialize Ron the Old Goat mod maker.

I feel like I missed most of the fun and really good vape stuff. Y'all talk about blue foam and tea bags and I have no idea how any of that was used, but it sounds like a good time was had by all.

Nope. Not the bottom of a coiling jig. Not a GoKart.

I use these NOW. Of course, I do use some old-style stuff. But, this is a more recent improvement to the old-style gear.

Look closely. You really can tell what it is if you pay attention.
