Now that you mention that, it DOES look similar (and might possibly be the same).

So, for the guessers, it is a condom (of sorts). But one used in a manner only rarely seen.

The one in my picture normally sits at the end of something ALL of us use EVERY SINGLE DAY. And in these (rare) cases, they're absolutely necessary. So it's something that sits atop a specific TYPE of something that only requires it if that something is made in a particular manner.

Konfused? I know that I am.

If nobody guesses it by tonight, I'll show it in its fullest form, thereby closing this chapter of WHAT IS THIS?
