Welp.... Flt, I must say, I am sorry. I even went back to the first few pages, and I STILL don't really know what those things were! We shall have to wait for Sir @DPLongo22 to give the absolute final answer. They may have been some sort of Protank thingie adapters, but in answer to your question, I believe we DID actually figure them out!

Ermahgerd, yes. Expectations for a 20 minute lifespan were woefully under-projected..
And yes, an answer was obtained quickly (within an hour or two). But the laughter continued all night long.
And I'm not certain it's stopped yet.
