That was the very first guess, given offline by @tazzle , and I have a feeling it's the best one we'll get. At this point, it's the one that I'm latching my wagon onto (until/unless something better comes along).

This may end up going down as one of those questions that life sometimes hits us with, such as, "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?"
