Let me know what you think of the RY1. It is another example of how subjective tastes can be since I have heard people describe it as sweet and I don't taste any sweetness at all. I thought I got a strange batch or maybe Im crazy, but I have seen other people say it tastes like popcorn so who knows. All those RYs are a mystery IMO.

I got the 306 today. Gave it a bit of a wash after first vaping a drop and there was some shipping fluid there but not strong. A few drops of 151 and a blow out and fired up the RY1 that I got in the same order. Interesting.... Although from what I gather from what others have said, RY4 is supposed to be in that line of tobacco based flavors of RY4 (caramel), Hilton (chocolate), Kent (vanilla), Flue Cured (cherry/almond), 555 (nutty/peanutty) but with RY4 I've never really gotten the tobacco base like I have the others. With RY2 I get that smokey/pine taste up front, the caramel/butterscotch/vanilla later. RY3 the caramel group is more up front. RY4 balanced between the smoke and caramel. I too get little or no real 'sweetness' on the normally sweet flavors - only their flavoring.

So with RY1 I'm tasting the caramel first without the butterscotch or vanilla, then a smooth tobacco taste and a hint of smoke on the end. lol. And it is pretty good on the 306. I have to 'heat up' the 306 it seemed - more than the 510 atty, to get a good head of vapor but once that happened the 306 did well. I expect it to get even better. This is day one.

I wanted to test the difference in flavor so after vaping off the RY1 and letting it cool down some, I loaded my current favorite Habana Reserve which is on two 510's computer and living room, so I had one there to compare and they were equally good, but it is my contention that some flavors respond better with the more heat of the 510 vs. the cooler vapor of my Janty Stick. The Habana Reserve, eg. is much better on the 510 whereas Janty's RY4 tastes better on the Janty Stick as does the Widow's Apple, Coconut and vanilla. But the Hilton, Kent, Marlboro, Lucky Strike, Janty's Cappuccino, Habana, Tennessee Cure all taste better on the 510.

I didn't try all those flavor on the 306 but it seems both the stronger tobacco based flavors And the vanilla and coconut at least also tastes good on the 306. I haven't reviewed the dipping data so I was just dripping and was a bit fascinated how nicely and not at all messy the atty seems to absorb the dripping. I just touch the drop on the bridge and it disappears and it can take a good 4 drops with no problem. No leaking out the batt hole - which I checked. So I'm good to go. I also tried with a 510 auto batt but only dripping 2 drops at a time. Almost no difference in hit or taste with auto vs. manual. It seems to me that the 510 auto has a different program on cutoff than the supermini. I've never yet encountered it no matter how long a vape.

Nice to know there is another atty I can use on the 510. Thanks.

Sounds like you got the usual quick service from electronicstix. I may have to go back and try the little bit of RY1 I have left again and see what flavor I get out of it. It looks like you will be getting some use out of the 306. I really do like it. I always talk about it as a dipping machine but you seem to have already noticed the benefit of the exposed atomizer for dripping too. You should give the dipping a try to at least see what the fuss is about. I certainly find it cleaner and easier than dripping. I'll post the link to the original dipping thread for information but I think its pretty evident how it works.

Oh and where did you find Lucky Strike? What does it compare to? I have to try that.

Got it on dipping. Thanks. Lucky Strike is from freshsmoking.com. Their other 'deluxe' juices are the Janty/Joye line vs. the straight dekang and I think are specially formulated so the Janty/Joye cappuccino is going to be different than the eastmall and normally heaven gifts, but Wayne at HG had dekang specially formulate his Cappuccino recently. But the Lucky Strike follows ...imo.. the tobacco base plus flavor and in this case it is a cinnamon. Not a hot cinnamon but more of a cinnamon roll type. Their Parliament tastes almost the same as the Lucky Strike but sweeter, again, im subjective o. The Janty Capp. has the same flavoring on top of a strong expresso flavor that comes out to some as burnt toast, or burnt cinnamon toast, I guess. I get the strong expresso and is my no.2 vape.

I'll be using the 306 and now I'm wondering if there's a flat tip mouthpiece for it :) I'm thinking probably not.

taste is very subjective and it all seem to wear off after using one taste for few hours.. the body only seems to notice a "change" it soon seems to adjust to whatever the "change" was and the initial effects wear off..

taste and the way the brain reacts to whatever it is that triggers it is a weird thing.. i think taste is about initial sensations.. its about "eating".. normal folks dont spend all day doing this.. some might tho.. he he

Gosh diddly darn it GrimmGreen, stop it already. I have found the gear I like and have pretty much given up on carts, but all the buzz about the cartomizers has me thinking about experimenting again. Is Eastmall's DPv9 an OK entry into the cartomizer world? I don't suppose you can clean out the batting on a cartomizer to get the factory fill junk out of there can you?

The EM juice is fine. Their watermelon cartomizers are right up there with the best juice taste I've ever had and I mostly drip at home. There's two suppliers in the U.S. that do blank cartomizers or DIY with no starting juices. VapourNine is one I can't remember the other but Grimm did a video filling them: YouTube - Using empty Nebula / Vaporking cartomizers

Tried them all, and the 901 always produced the best flavor...Until yesterday.. Received my first cartomizer, a KR-808. Unbelievable flavor, very impressed.. hopefully it holds up..

I had a similar experience. I tried them all, but settled on the 801 for flavor. That is - until I got an 808/vaper king and some cartomizers. Flavor is great, vaper is great, and it comes out hot and with some throat hit. It simulates smoking very well while offering the joy of outstanding flavor. I can't see going back to any of my other models so they may soon be listed in the classifieds here.
