I bought 2 ego twists about 6 months ago and now the batteries are dying out. I loved it at first but as time went on I could barely taste any flavor just vapor and throat hit. This time I want something that is going to deliver flavor, I have been looking at the ego-T 2 Upgrade mod, I like the long lasting batteries that come with it as I vape around 3ml a day and I like that just about all accessories fit on the egos. Is the ego-T 2 Mod a good upgrade and will it deliver more flavor?

The relevance between batteries and flavor is distant. Flavor IS affected by wattage and the volts from the battery is part of that of course. One thing about flavor is that it can be washed out or burnt by too much wattage. If you cranked up your eGo Twists to, say, above 4 volts, then, depending on the flavors you were using, you may have had too much voltage (and hence wattage) for the flavors you were using, even though you were still getting throat hit and vapor.

While attys, cartos, clearomizers, tanks supply the resistance/ohms part of the wattage - their design, materials, etc. have a bigger effect on flavor than any battery - other than above - where too much voltage can ruin flavor in some ejuices. I've found that the best flavor come from non-filler type clearomizers - the Vision stardust, the CC Carto and more recently, the Tabac BCC clearo.

My favorite, because it handles some of the problems that I've found with the other two mentioned:

(these above would be my second choice - for flavor and vapor - the mouthpiece can be a problem and it needs to sit a while for the wicking to take hold sometimes - both of those factors are solved with the Tabac/BCC above)

Not: (I find the performance of these variable - if you get a good one, it's really good, but some will have draw and vapor problems that aren't easily fixed. )

And again, you can change the wattage by changing the coils rated at 1.5, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 and 2.8 depending on the item. The higher numbers at a constant voltage will give you better flavor with light flavored ejuice while the lower numbers will enhance stronger flavors. 1.5 can wash out even some stronger flavors.

The eGo T2 batt will reduce your choices because of the connection - although adapters are available. You could use Twists with these as well - they all fit the eGo connection and you could 'fine tune' the wattage with the variability of the Twist's voltage. Again, if you're losing flavor, it's mostly because you're vaping with too much voltage - changing battery types won't fix that.
