Do you think it's a better vape at 1.2 than 1.5 it's what I'm using is there more flavor with the lower ohms?

It depends on how you like to vape. Flavor wise, I previously found the best flavor with a 1.6 ohms 28g 2.4ohms coil on my KFL+, but it was a very cool vape and i was fairly new to vaping. With a lower ohms coil, you can take your vape to higher wattages and definitly a warmer vape and flavor , and if you like it you can either stay there or go all the way and try sub ohming. So i think one should try everything to better find a setup that suits his/her personal preference. Flavor is not solely dependant on either you're using a lower or higher resistance coils, there are so many variables to fiddle with in the vaping equation like: the wire gauge, coil diameter, single or dual or triple coil, twisted and non twisted wire, spaced or contact coil, nano-micro-macro coils, the type of wick you're using, the way you're wicking, the wick density, the juice you're using, vg pg ratio, RDAs vs RTAs, airflow. And this in my opinion is the beauty of it. Finally i do advise you to try a lower ohms coil, the flavor is definitly there. Good luck!!

I'm runing a 1.2 ohms 26g kanthal 3mm coil in my KFL+ V2, and it's not bad at all. Next i'm gonna try a 1.2 ohms 26g 2.4mm, all wicked with koh gen do, or maybe cotton labo puffs.

Keep it at 3mm... trust me. The sweet spot is right around 3mm in a Kayfun with cotton and 1.5 - 0.8 ohm. It will wick much better than a smaller coil. I personally use 28g in my tanks for the quicker heat up and (more importantly) cool down times.

If you really want to try something different... wrap a 3mm, 28g "spaced" coil in your kayfun. Easiest way is to wrap a micro coil as you normally do then gently pull it apart while it's on whatever drill bit or mandrel you've wrapped it on. That way you get a perfect wrap and spacing... the spacing of the coils actually helps response time and wicks better as you're not concentrating heat in one tiny area... you're also increasing surface area (to wick) and allowing for more juice to be vaporized.

It's funny but vaping is coming a bit full circle in coil trends. We started with big, non-contact coils then went to micro and nano coils... now some of us are returning to larger macro coils and even spaced coils.

I will definitely try the build you suggested, and i do trust you :) . I've been using 26g wire mainly to increase the contact area of the coil with the wick when i go lower on ohms but i'm definitely gonna try 28g. The only thing i have against a 3mm coil in a kayfun is the amount of cotton that i'm left with to fit in the small juice well. I know i can always thin my wick but as a noob i just can't always get it right, and i do prefer to leave the wick as it is. After a couple of months struggling to get the right setup that would eventually give me the consistent performance i want for my vape, i do believe "at this stage", that the coil diameter should be proportionate to the size of the base and the building deck of the RTA i'm building on. This is primarily due to that the more cotton density i'll have to get through the coil, the more tails i'll be left with to fit on both sides of the building deck without blocking my juice channels. Now please don't misunderstand me, this is what i believe only for the time being, i may completely change my mind after trying something else ;) Thanks again for the advice.
