I was finally gonna get a passthrough for my Joye Ego but I was wondering what and where to get one. Is there a certain type I should get? I would like one that plugs into the wall but I don't know if there is a difference between that and one that connects to the computer.
I also wanted to get a new battery, one with more power! Should I get a 1000mah (don't really know what that means but I see people talking about it) What would be good for my Ego? Help!

I am not positive but I think the one that plugs into the computer is the one with the inline battery and I think that one is just 3.7v and people have various problems with them? I think go with the plain one with no inline battery and plug it into a 2amp AC to USB (or an AC to USB made especially for the PT) - you cannot use the PC USB or a battery charger's AC to USB because those are usually only 500mA and not enough for the PT. The one without the battery inline might be higher voltage too and give a bigger hit.

But I don't own them so wait until someone else answers.

All PT's have USB connections and can be used with a wall adapter. It's recommended to use a wall adapter that's at least 2amps such as this.

If you like the eGo, then the eGo PT would be great for you. It works as a PT and will charge as you use it, but can be disconnected and used as another battery.

A 1000mAh battery will last longer between charges. 100mAh is approximately one hour of use, so 1000mAh will last about 10 hours. If you want more power, you have to look at the voltage. An eGo battery is usually around 3.4V and will dip to 3.2V under load. Most of your mods start at 3.7V.

A passthrough is just an eGo battery that has a removeable cap on the end where you can hook a USB connector. That way you can vape it while it's charging. You can plug it into a computer a, USB wall adapter, or a USB adapter in a cigarette lighter. The ones I have came with the cord but, it's standard USB stuff. Any eGo passthrough will work for you. I'm pretty sure a Riva 510 passthrough will too.

Have you tried low resistance (LR) attys and cartos on your Ego (they can only be used on the fat-batteries models and will provide a hotter harder hit)

The heat of the hit is caused by the combination of battery volts and atty/carto resistance

If you want 3.7 volts and 510 post again and ask about the best 3.7 volts 510-threaded PVs - you could still use that with 510 LR attys and cartos

I don't know which 510 passthrough is 5V but they do exist and on those you use standard resistance atty and carts and it makes those vape hotter
5V 510 passthrough

So what do I get if I want more power? A new battery and a mod. Or are there batteries to buy that ARE mods?? Please be specific...I'm a little confused!

You need to be more specific too. More power can be longer battery life. It can also be more watts. You can get more watts by going with LR atomizers. You atomizers won't last as long and your batteries will need to be recharged more often. What exactly are you trying to get with more power?

Currently, the eGo compatible battery with the most voltage is the Riva Special Edition from Liberty Flights. 3.7v underload - all else are @3.2 underload and you'll notice a difference in vapor. Link that with an LR atty or tank atty and you'll be vaping in the 'high voltage' area of 8+Watts.

I bought a Joye 510 manual usb passthrough from litecigusa.net. I've been using it for 2 months and I like it.It's also cheap. You can find it here.

Also bought a AC to USB adapter from cignot.com for only $5.00. I didn't want to plug the passthrough directly into the computer as I've read horror stories on the internet that they can fry your motherboard.Don't know if it's true or not. So I purchased this adapter to bypass the computer. You can find it here.

When you said you wanted a to get more power do you mean the battery lasting longer between charges. Or do you mean you want something with more th and etc?

If you just want a battery that last longer between charges, and since you wanted a passthru. Then maybe you can consider the eGo passthru/battery 1000mah at cignot. It's $22 for 650mah, and if you want 1000mah add $4. This passthru can be used while charging w/ the included usb cord. You can also unplug the usb cord and walk around w/ the battery while vaping. You can get a usb to wall adaptor like what womanofheart suggested.

If you want more power as in th. If you have not try lr atties, you might want to give those a try.
