What setup gives best throat hit?

Try "Essence" ELP-USA juice from Eliquidplanet at 16mg. You WILL get throat hit assuming your batts are charged and your atomizer is alive.
Seriously, this stuff hits HARD! (in a good way)

Yes.. the nicotine will go down a notch. Remember... I'm only talking 10% (MAX) alcohol..... so if you were using 24mg nic you would now have about 22.

Unflavored alcohol (PGA) will have little or no effect on the flavor. Since 151 is flavored... yeah... there might be a slight "tinge" of that coming through. But I mix it with English Toffee or Butterscotch flavored liquid anyway... so I don't taste it at all.

Very interesting.

I'm going to have to keep that in mind when I start mixing my own juices, thank you Scott.

I believe it's PG. The vapor is good, nothing earth shattering but the throat hit is, for me, exactly like an analog.
