The best set up I have had so far is the Woodvil with cartomizers. New battery and a full bottle of juice and I am good to go.

why would you use cartomizers on the Woodvil?

Regardless the Provari is a waste IMO....more stuff to go wrong.

18650 batt/510LR atty= no need to adjust voltage.

Get one of these

or a REO GRAND if you dont want to drip or use cartomizers.

I have been eyeing up the reos. If I am going to take the plunge into mods, I would want something that would last me all day, but still be small, durable and stylish, and I am leaning towards a bottom feeder. Would the reo mini be a good suggestion, or go for the grand, or is there something better out there? I have been pretty happy with dripping on a 510 atty and 650 mah ego battery, but I need more battery life and am tired of carrying around bottles and constantly cleaning up leaks. Just wondering in general, how often do you have to replace those type of batteries, and how messy are they around the drip cup?

Zero, VapourGuy. Though I've studied many in detail over a long period. What I meant earlier was that instead of having one mod that runs at 3.7 volts only, or another that runs at 5 volts only, or another that might have two settings - say, 3.7 and 6 volts, but nothing in between - the ProVari offers dozens of voltage settings in one PV. So it rules! And is "like having dozens of [single-voltage-setting] mods in one."

Unless you really liked the shape/design of numerous different devices, or really wanted to have several PV's in order to enjoy different voltages...the ProVari is the way to go. It makes all those single-voltage-setting devices a lot less valuable than they used to be, price-wise.

Factor in all the other awesome features built-in to the ProVari, and most other PV's don't hold a candle to it. That's just my feeling...and the original poster did ask for advice on what to get! But we're all free to hold different opinions & make our own decisions.

Sorry if you thought I was knocking your opinion as that was not my intention as I wouldn't try to knock anyones opinion as it is there right to have one. It was just that reading it seemed more like it was from experience and I just was just wondering if it was or not. With that aside the only upgrade P/V I would recommend to someone who wanting to upgrade but is unsure of exactly what they want out of it then it would have to be the Reo grand or reo mini as I believe they will meet at least 1 or more of the wants or needs of any vaper and there built to last. If you were to buy one and for some crazy reason decide you don't want it you can post it in the classifieds for pretty much the full price and get your money back in a day. This is just my opinion and we all know what they say about opinions.

sorry to hijack this thread, but could someone explain to me the batteries for the reo mini and grand? How long do they last before having to charge, and how often do they need to be replaced?

Found this: Grand 3.7v 18650, mini 3.7v 14500

but I don't know anything about batteries so I don't know what this means. Also, what is the benefit of stacking batteries?

Idk on the mini but an 18650 on a standard 510 atty is about 3.7 v or therabouts. Lasts bout 2 days of moderate/heavy vaping.

Edit: sorry should add that's a 2400 mah 18650 aka the cheap ones

To the OP and lelly,

I think you need to go here: YouTube - MissNomad89's Channel

She has like a 6 part "Baby's first Mod" series. She explains what they are, how they are made, the different kinds out there, all about batteries, stacking, etc.

You'll find it very interesting I think and it may help you decide what kind to get.
