hi everyone.

I just ordered a Joye 510 yesterday. Graduating from the Greensmoke E9 cig.
So. What should I NOT do?
I've read alot of information on maintening, filling , cleaning. etc.

I got juice. Is there a specfic PV/GV ratio I should buy. I ordered from Freedom Smoke and noticied the juices I have are 50/50.

Haven't ordered any extra atomizers or spare parts yet . so i need to know what NOT to do.
Just don't want to break it or have to buy new parts, etc, until I can order more on payday !!!

If using cartomisers, the trick is to make sure you don't under fill them to begin with or allow them to get too dry when using, or you will not get the desired effect, or worse, a nasty burnt taste. Keep topping up as you vape, frequency will be down to how often you use it, and you should be fine.

Oh, and definitely don't go anywhere without some spare batteries or you might get caught out without something to toot on! :)

Hey sixstring -

I've followed a similar path - the 510 is a major upgrade. I'd recommend Boge cartos, which have been the easiest for me to fill. Make sure to get the 2.7 or 3.0 ohms (same cartos but I've seen them labeled both ways). I've filled these using everything from 80pg/20vg to the opposite, but I know clear Pg-based juices will probably be recommended. I'm guessing 50/50 will work fine, but may decrease the life of the carto? I'm not sure - I have only thrown one out in my 10 or 12 days of using them, but I switch them out very very often.

You may want an extra and larger battery. I use the Riva 510, and find both the battery life and vaping experience are better than a standard 510. I'm sure there are others, but you can get the Riva and Boge cartos from Liberty Flights. Good Prophets has a great deal on the Boges themselves.

DO NOT buy LR cartos or atty's if you are using a cig sized battery.

Not entirely accurate. I use Boge LR (2.0ohm) 808 cartos on my Kanger 808D-1 battery. It is heaven! I do know my battery will have an early death, but they are cheap and it is worth it! Been vaping that for 2 months now and still no sudden death....

Ive tried 1.7ohm Smoktech cartos but they tend to not fire oncs the battery looses its freshly charged 4.2 voltage. So wouldnt recommend going that low.

But 2.0ohm give me an "Oh my god!!!" vape with such a small battery.

Did you buy manual batteries? If you have autos you have avoid spilling juice on the end of the battery and be aware that wind or vibration may turn your battery on.

Never screw anything in or on further than needed to contact and work.

Don't worry if you don't like cart + atomizer. Most people switch to cartomizers for their favorite juices and the most popular are Boge 510 (the 3 ohm ones for slim 510). I use thin clear juices - PG w/ 20% or less VG - in Boge cartos and I avoid juices that leave a lot of flavoring sediment in the carto stuffing. I can get 7-10 days use out of a Boge carto or more (actually 14+ on my current one).

Don't run the atty dry! Pay attention to the temperature of your attys. If it is getting abnormally hot it probably needs liquid added to the cart. And keep the attys clean. Dirty attys don't vape well.

Don't put low resistance atomizers or cartomizers on slim batteries - stick with things that are 2.5 to 3 ohm). If you use low ohms you risk damaging the battery as well as use your charge up a lot faster.

Never put a battery in a charger or PCC without wiping off the threads to make sure they are clean and dry.

Don't forget to buy more eliquid. New vapers are the ones that run out of liquid.

Obviously don't leave the ecig stuff where kids, pets or idiot friends can get at them. Don't mistake your juice for eyedrops. Don't throw the ecig out the car window or into the toilet when done vaping. Don't light the ecig. (people have done these things)

It's the general consensus that if you do that, you'll be soorree eventually lol. If you're out and about with 2 or 3 batteries, and nothing but LR cartos\attys, that's about when your bad luck is going to catch up to you.

Whether it works for you or not dude, I would still very well consider it a DON"T when giving a newbie advice.

No matter what you prefer as far as atomizers or cartomizers, DO NOT use LR anything or you'll be replacing batteries and that's an expense I wouldn't want. If you use auto batteries, DO NOT fill the carto up will still attached to the battery and don't drip. Just use some common sense and you'll be fine.

Hi everyone. I thought the mouse was a she. LOL. anyhow. i ordered manual batteries. I'm super excited :D

I really like manual batteries myself. The button just seems to allow for more control over your hit. That said though, it is cool to go hands free every once in a while. I think the key to auto batteries is to just be careful when refilling. An extra blow through a freshly filled carto into a paper towel helps a good bit.

im' looking at the liberty-flights web site but all the boge cartomizers are LR. Am i missing something ?

oh yeah. so regarding the Joye 510, i can order cartomizers ? meaning the atomizer is built right into the cartridge? is this correct? i'm trying to pry this green smoke ecig away from my boyfriend but he likes it and doesn't want to use another ecig. I'd really would like him to use the 510 and if i can keep him on a two piece system, He'd be happy with that . Please let me know.
