I would recommend the Nautilus/ Naut Mini I used them around my dogs all the time and they never leaked just sit the base on a paper towel while you fill it over a sink and then dispose of the towel. The mini is 2 ml and the full size is 5ml, not too mention they are awesome!

Just make sure if you get the full size to get some BVC coils to put in it, but the mini comes with them and a spare.

I have a kanger aerotank and have never had any leaks now a few months into use. Leaking was also a big concern for me having two small kids and a dog. I also just received today a smoktech vivi nova champion tank which is a pyrex tank inside a plastic cover but does have wicks, cant imagine it would leak and comes in multiple colors.

Any tank can leak. Nature of the beast.

They all have wicks. :)

I've been using Kanger clearomizers for a long time and never had any major problems, but an occasional drip/condensation is always a possibility. Regular (not mini) Aerotank's airflow control base is sealed.

There is no substitute for careful supervision when you have toddlers or pets around. Keep your juice bottles someplace where critters can't reach them--box with a lid, closed cabinets, upper shelves, etc.

A few drops of regular, vaping-strength eliquid won't kill anyone. But if your dog (or toddler) grabs a bottle of strong ejuice and somehow opens it or chews through it, a nicotine overdose is a possibility.

Happy vaping!

As Katya said, every tank can leak. As a dog owner (see my avatar ;)), I will also say that any dog can get it into their head that chewing up your PV is the right thing to do and can possibly do that any time they have free access to it.

I generally vape zero nic juice or when I use a bit it's very little so I'm not up on this stuff. I just Googled and found the following at a couple of web sites:

"The toxic dose for nicotine in pets is 1/2-1 mg per pound of pet body weight, while the lethal dose is 4 mg per pound of pet body weight".

So if you use 18 mg/ml juice and have a 3 ml tank, you have 54 mg of nic in a full tank. By the above data that could cause a 108 lb dog to have some symptoms and it would kill a 13.5 lb dog. I have no idea how accurate this is.

If a healthy, non-inebriated person ingested too much nicotine they would become sick, vomit up most of it and recover quite well. I think dogs are the same, but again, I'm not sure of that.

If you're worried about it I think the best solution is to keep your tank small enough so your dog could eat it all and be OK. This still of course leaves your juice bottles as a risk that you'll have to get a handle on. Of course nicotine is not the only thing we have to worry about or dogs getting into so however you handle the rest should work for this too.

I have the nautilus and nautilus mini. I had the full size flood on me over night last week so bad the juice was running out of the air hole in the base. The mini on the other hand i have not had one single problem with.

Im not sure why the full size flooded on me. I checked the atomizer seal and i always fill it close to 5ml when i add juice, I screw it together in the right order and i dont over tighten anything. So one problem in about two months of use for both tanks.

Hi. I am looking to move on from my beloved DCT carto tank but I can't have ANY leaks as I am extremely paranoid about poisoning my dogs. What would you recommend? I want about 3mL and pretty colours lol, no wicks, no worry about which way up it is, nothing to build beyond maybe replacing a coil. Thanks for your suggestions!

2 tanks I own never leak.

1 is a protank 2 with an aerotank base. The original aerotank body and coils did like to leak on me, but using the protank 2 body and coils, with the aerotank base stopped all leaking and increased airflow by a ton.

This was my tank for a long time, then the nautilus. It however, had the opposite problem, dry burning quite a bit. This can be fixed by using the new BVC coils, or drilling out the juice holes, which might screw it up :p

As stated, everything has the potential to leak. I just treat my equipment and juice like it is poison and I have a 2 year old in the house. Never leave it laying where the dogs or cats could get it and being in that habit I have no worries when the grandbabies come over. I also have to agree the Nautilus is probably your best bet but as happened to SVrider, you can never say never.

I like the "Never say never" quote, but just to ad my thoughts, I've had a Rose V2 for 5 months and haven's changed the O-rings. Absolutely bullet-proof, and NEVER leaks. A drop will form rarely at the air hole if tilted that way as excessive juice will collect in a chamber below the deck where the AFC is...my favorite rebuildable.
