I don't use use Vivi Nova's on a regular basis, but from what you have described...did you allow the string wicks time to set up and absorb your juice prior to vaping? You're likely tasting the burning of the silica wicks. It sounds like you're getting dry hits from your wicks not being adequately wet before using them. Just an observation.

sounds like its time for a real dry burn to get the caked up crud off the coils. i dont remember a chemical taste but i do remember it getting nasty after a while constantly rebaking the crud with new juice.
thats about what it sounds like to me also.
If you need help with that let me know and ill swing by sometime when im in town and show you how to do it notorious

I don't think it's a dry hit burning the wick. I let the juice sit in my tank for at least ten minutes before I vaped it. I think I'll try to dry burn them. It's weird though because it's all three of my heads and I don't use the lower resistance one nearly as much as the higher resistance one and that one seems to taste the worst. I'm wondering if I didn't let them dry enough and I'm tasting something from the water left in the wick. I dunno. I'll let y'all know how the dry burning works.

I never air dry my heads. As soon as in done washing them I blow into them. When they are somewhat dry I dry burn for a while then i pop it back in. Good as new.

Anyone notice that sometimes people say warsh instead of wash in certain parts of the country? I find it unsettling.

Or a cleaning "do-over" with a longer dry time.
And disassemble - pull the little silicon cap thing up so that and the metal tip inside it can dry out too...
(careful - not over the sink drain!)

Yeah, it is kind of vapor-steam like hits. And there is a little flavor but not like normal. So what do I have to do? Just keep using them until it goes away?

I have two heads boiling right now. I'm a little worried about the little white O ring on them getting messed up, should I worry? I'm gonna let one air dry and dry burn dry the other one and see which method works better for me. I'll keep y'all updated. And thanks for the help guys. I might just be buying some new heads tomorrow. I do need a reason to visit the B&M I just found out about.

You should worry.. if you aren't worrying you aren't doing it right. More worry=cleaner heads

I've always just rinsed them off and air dried them. It's always worked fine. I usually do this every time my tank goes dry (once a day) and usually only one head at a time so I always have a fresh, completely dry head to pop on while my other one dries. I didn't do this for a couple of days 'cause I was out of town. When I got home today I cleaned all three at once and I think I didn't let them dry enough. When I got that nasty taste I immediately switched to another head and got the same thing. I will NEVER do this again. Sorry if I'm ramblin' on but it's keeping me busy while I try to fix this problem.
