I was looking for a couple of cheapies to fiddle with but now that I've got em I can't quite figure out what they are and what spare parts to order. Anyone have any ideas?

I got them from DX, one is sku 16048 then other is sku 11211

The 16048 came in with a broken charger, still waiting for my support response which I think is gonna take a while so the device is useless til I get a replacement.

Thanks for any info...

I tried a search on DX and nothing seems to match. If you're e-cig is in a green & white cigarette style pack that says E-Health on it, it's most likely an M401. The 401's aren't a bad little unit. They have a good hit, and vapor. The problem is that they are a cheap imitation of the 401. I bought a few sets myself, and luckily, mine all worked. i still have a few that I use for back-up.

It's a set that will get you used to vaping. Once you get the hang of it, you may wish to keep it, or move on to bigger & better things, but as I said, I still have mine to fall back on if my present e-cig fails.

I think nobody has really ever heard of DX before, so website please.

And that's just for starters, as we may need measurements as well.
And what kind of atomizer (exposed vs recessed) it is would help as well.

The "Health e-Cigarette" SKU11211 is not an M401, it's referred to as an EC502B (the B denotes the packaging). There is also an A and C suffix packaging.

EC502A = DealExtreme: $9.97 Electronic Cigarettes with Charger and 6-Refills Set (110V~220V AC)
EC502B = DealExtreme: $19.88 USB Rechargeable Electronic 2*Cigarettes with Car Chargers and 10-Refills Set (also sold elsewhere in the EC502C packaging as a twin pack)
EC502C = DealExtreme: $12.50 Electronic Cigarettes with Chargers and 10-Refills Set (110V~240V AC)

To clear some confusion up about these "Health e-Cigarettes", there seems to be at least two versions of the atomizer/battery combo being sold.

Almost everyone who has bought the EC502A knows what a piece of junk the battery is. The automatic switch doesn't work correctly making the whole thing useless.

Now, I have about 6 of the EC502C from DX and they all work perfectly. The automatic switch works fairly well and only needs very light suction to activate. These seem to be new improved versions, as I bought the exact same product from FocalPrice and it had the same crappy battery as the EC502A.

I've been using the DX EC502C (SKU18431) since I started vaping and I'm very happy with. It's a great deal for $12.50 and would reccomend this model for anyone who wants a cheap backup model or as an introduction model to give to family and friends.

Hope that helped and wasn't too confusing.

Wow, I'd swear that the 11211 looks just my old DX E-Health (401 copy.) with that little Pointy atty bridge. I still get it out & use it from time to time.

And your right. For cheapie to pass around to get someone started, it would hep out a lot. IMO, better than a disposable.

Any ideas what the other one, the 16048 is?
I thought it might be a 510 clone but it has an atty like the 502/401. It threads okay into 510 parts but doesn't make a connection.

I've got a 510 manual for myself and love it but I hate having everyone 'try it' so part of the reason for the cheapies. Plus I got hooked on the idea of mods and have been creating little stock pile of stuff to try out.

Thanks again for the help...

1 Month, no analogs, well, couple of cheats... But I've also dropped nicotine gum, nicotine lozenges and smoking in between habits.

I don't own a M401, but I was told by someone else that the parts aren't interchangeable between these and the 401. After looking at some images they do look very similar though, so you might be right.

Attached is a pic showing the two different styles of this model being sold. The one on the left is the one that doesn't work correctly, and the one on the right is the one I believe to be a newer improved version. It's hard to see in the pic, but the plastic "ash" on the end of the two are different, which is the only way to tell the two batteries apart.

The atty will fit a 510 battery's threads, but does not extend far enough into the battery to make contact with the center post. I made a temporary extension with a single layer coil of solder shaped with pliers. I placed a coil of paper around the inside wall of the battery to insulate the coil from the sides of the battery. Screwed on the atty and it works. I am going to try soldering a few beads of solder onto the end of the atty to make it more permanent.

Right now I am using manual batteries, but I already had a couple of autos coming in the mail and then these will make nice little analog equivalents.
