Are a few good emoticons! Folks over at the "Forum Who's Name Shall Not Be Uttered" have several decidedly unique emoticons available for use.

The one that came to mind just now as being especially handy depicts a saddled horse on its back, legs pointed up, being beaten by our friend the smiley face with a big stick.

Honestly, some of the threads around here that just refuse to die, or, more to the point, be compassionately left for dead, staggers one.

Just sayin'...

If you ever come to Michigan and ask for directions you might be treated to a Michiganders' convenient (I dare say.. 'handy') helpful 'visual aid'

since Michigan is shaped like a mitten we're rather inclined to hold up the properly corresponding hand (depending on how we're facing with you) to help us aid you in your navigation and tell you where you are

I call this our 'hand-as-a-map' technique and I'd have a suitable nice small 150x150 5k image somewhere about my account to help except I keep getting a pesky message about a 'failure to write a temporary file'

Here's Michigan (pay no mind to the "Upper Peninsula" most Michiganders do, which might annoy more "U P'ers" -- if there were more people up there and little less bears and swampland )

See that's where we Michiganders are especially savvy in our adept skill to use reverse imagery as needed..

see, if for some reason I needed review or tell myself where I am, I'd simply look at the back of my left hand, but I can (get this!) hold up my right hand palm facing the out of towner so that they are given the proper directional sense of Michigan on my right palm and still point with my left hand in an entirely (to me) backwards fashion where we are and our various relation to other points of interest in Michigan are and without the least little bit of confusion. We do this all the time, without even thinking about it (impressive eh? We Michiganders are just like that)

lol...... just take it !! right click on image, save pic as (to your hard drive), then upload it to photobucket or some other online site to use it.

Gotta brush up on my sarcasm skills. My initial post was actually a mini-vent prompted by a particular thread that popped up again last night. The darn thing just won't die!

But I'll still take the horse!
